I use this mainly for gaming, Skype calls and not bombarding my wife in the next room with unwanted movie sounds. Sound is very good for the investment and it looks great! I love the removeable mic! I bought it to replace my worn out Steel Series headset and the sound is comparable and the looks, noise cancelling and mic quality are better.

After reviewing Eksa's AirJoy Pro 7.1 headset that I received through the Vine program, I just had to try these out. While the AirJoys were touted for their superb lightness, this E900 Pro 7.1 headset has a lot beefier construction, which is evident by the headband alone.I loved the AirJoy 7.1 so much that I married them to my laptop, and assigned them as my go-to travel headset, given their extreme lightness. However, that left me wanting something for my desktop at home. I wanted something more permanent and robust, something a little more substantial in terms of build. And being that it would stay at my desk, weight and form factor was not an issue - as long as it was comfortable with good build quality, and the sound quality was good. The E900's were immediately distinguishable from the Airjoys, in that, while the AirJoys have a brighter, more playful sound signature, the E900 Pro's full sounding bass took center stage. Not overpowering, it just had more presence and depth. The sound is fuller and richer, in my opinion, as the bass can reach really low. That's not to say that the AirJoys lack bass, or these lack the high end. They both sound great and balanced, just different characteristics and personality, if that makes sense. I love both for what they are, as they both sound much better than they should at their price points. What I like more about the E900s over the AirJoys, though, is the aesthetics. Much more. Though they still use black and red, the muted design language used is more my flavor. The lights/logo is much less "gamer", hence, it gives off a more mature vibe. I usually don't like lights, but the way Eksa implemented them on the E900 7.1 is pretty cool, in my opinion. Also, the metal speaker grill adds a unique look that I like very much, while adding a sense of quality. The headband and ear pads use a leatherette material, which I usually dislike, but the foam used inside is super soft and plush. I didn't expect them to be this comfortable. I was playing Red Dead Redemption II the other night for hours, and I didn't realize I had been playing for so long. Where some headsets clamp down so hard my ears start to hurt after a while, these don't do that. These are superbly comfortable for long periods of gaming, and I never felt discomfort or pain during those long sessions, whether it was watching a movie, listening to music, or playing games for extended periods.Another feature about this headset that I like is the fact that the mic is detachable, and has a foam cover. For someone who mostly plays single-player games, this is a welcome feature. The mic can also be muted from the headset with a touch of a button located directly on the headset. The volume control sits right above that on the headset, which I much prefer, instead of having it dangling around on the cable. The package comes with all the cables you need. You get the USB-C for the 7.1 surround functionality, a y-splitter, the mic, and of course, the 3.5mm cable for stereo connection with other devices. It also comes with a nice travel bag, which I appreciate. The 7.1 surround aspect of these is just as well implemented as they are on the AirJoys. It really does add to the immersion, and my experience playing Bioshock Remastered was a treat! The driver/software is well designed, easy to navigate and straight forward. The little extra features, such as pitch adjustment is a nice, addition. I've added some screenshots to show those features, and also my personal EQ settings for music, movies/games, and vocals for those that may want to try them out.Build quality is great as well, way exceeding my expectations for a headset that cost me only $40 (on sale right now from their normal price of $50). lol Seriously, I challenge anyone to find a better headset at this price. You won't, because as far as I know, none exists. 5/5.PS: I thought I should mention that when I went to their site to download their driver software, it says there are two versions, one which uses a newer chip, which requires a different driver. They tell/show you how to identify which version you have.

It is definitely worth its value. I have been using it for almost a month and the sound quality for its price is perfect. I can hear my opponent's food steps are coming from left or right when I'm in the game. One thing I wish they can improve but it might just happen to me: comfortness of the ear pad. If I hear it for hours, it will hurt my ear somehow(it might just be personal issue that I have a giant ear ), so normally I wii take it down after wearing it 1 hr.Overall, it is great proudut,m worth you money.
