Update from below, they emailed me and sent me another camera no questions asked, can’t reallY complain about that,Bought the camera it worked for a short time and then quit. Can’t get anyone to help with service after leaving numerous requests. Just stuck with a brick of plastic that’s useless

I bought this for my mother in law to watch the wildlife In Her backyard! Works great!

One thing not mentioned in any of the paperwork / manuals is you can use the USB cable to directly download the images to a computer. It is fast and shows up as an extra disc drive.

I got this trail camera to see what was coming thru my backyard at night.The first use was great, then the camera card would not work. Windows could not read the files, I have formatted it via the computer as well as the cameras format and nothing is working.With help from an awesome Amazon customer Rep and the Vikeri after sales team we diagnosed and FIXED the issue. The camera is now working perfectly and I have some really great pictures and videos of my backyard wild life.Thank you to everyone who helped me.

I am revising my original review and giving the camera five stars. Here is why: There is nothing wrong with the camera. Instead, its memory card was defective. I installed a new name-brand card and 100-percent of the pictures turned out perfectly! I'm pleased.Now, back to the original review:I am delighted with the daytime pictures taken by this unit. They are sharp and the colors are true. The night shots are every bit as good as those taken by a much more expensive trail camera.That's the good.Quite a few frames were only partially recorded at the top and the rest of the frame was blank. I don't know if it is caused by the camera or a poor memory card; so, today I installed a new one of known quality. At any rate, as time went by the problem lessened a great deal.The door/battery compartment fastens to the tripod. When the unit is opened the whole camera swings. That's a little bit unhandy; but, I can live with it.So far, it has been out in the rain and snow and it has not leaked. That said, considering some of the complaints about it I may fashion a cover to provide added protection--just in case.A person gets what they pay for. One cannot expect Cadillac performance at a junker price. :-)I am not disappointed as long as it keeps working the way it has been.

Have been using this to monitor deer in the area. Works great! We have been getting tons of deer footage and even some of coyotes.

We purchased this trail cam after discovering black bear scat in our back yard. Haven't caught any bears, but it has shown us deer emptying our bird feeders at night. It works as advertised, though the nighttime pictures are low quality. Daytime pictures are good. Plenty of set-up options to choose from to customize how you choose to use it.We did have a problem after using it for a few weeks where the pictures were not storing properly on the included microSD memory card. We contacted Vikeri with a sample messed up picture and they quickly responded with the suggestion that the memory card itself might be at fault. We tried a different memory card and it worked fine. When we told Vikeri that, they quickly sent us an Amazon gift card so we could purchase a new memory card. Good customer service is appreciated.

Solid UI and sturdy build..what more could you ask for with the abundance of functionality that this thing provides!?!

It would have been helpful if you told us that the camera needed a micro sim card (not included). It would have been helpful if you also told us that the micro card would need to be formatted on a computer prior to sticking it into the camera (didn't know how to do that). And it would have been helpful if you told us that we would need a special USB flash drive stick that can hold a micro chip because we would need to stick that in the computer in order to format the chip (didn't know how to do that either). Had to look all this up on YouTube and make 2 other separate purchases. Huge delay in being able to use the camera.
