Bought to use an ancient M42 lens on a Leica body.

Mechanically it’s really nice, it fits firmly, the M42 threads are great.

There is no optical component, so this is about as perfect as you can get and for the quality it is well priced too.

For such a simple adapter as the K&F Concept - without integrated optics and/or electronic contacts for purely manual lenses - it offers everything that you need in my opinion for straightforward, problem-free, purely manual photography without any frills. And all this at an affordable price, while at the same time the material appears solid and the workmanship is good, with no burrs or sharp edges (other adapters from other manufacturers sometimes have sharp edges and burrs that could cause injury). Even after several months of intensive use, I have not found any weaknesses to date. It still looks like new.

A 'dumb' EF-L adapter that seems well-made. Good fit for EF lenses and to the camera. Pleased.

Used the K&F Nikon F to L mount adapter and found it working as expected. My old Nikon lenses are now working on my new Lumix S5IIX. Mostly I am using this adapter for my old Nikon 70-300mm G telephoto lens which works fine in the manual focus mode.

I cut the 1 star for the aperture ring which reduces the aperture in big steps and there is no way to stop the aperture in gradual steps. Either its wide open or it drops down to very narrow aperture in next 1 or 2 steps. That is one thing bit disappointing but overall a good investment.

Here is a video of samples captures using Nikon 70-300mm lens on Lumix S5IIX: https://youtu.be/QgfqwtBRR-8

The adapter is very high quality and fits perfectly. However, you have to be careful when putting the lens and adapter together! You can focus with the aperture open and then stop down to the working aperture preselected on the lens with a short turn of the adapter ring before taking the picture. Works perfectly.

It's really not bad what you get for the money here. The adapter makes a solid impression, the workmanship seems good. It sits so firmly that it doesn't affect the function at all. I stuck a small piece of Tesa on the inside of the mount and now it sits absolutely rock solid, but it would have worked without it too. If there was one thing I would improve it would be the aperture ring: it could travel a little further and click into place a little more firmly. But that's really complaining at a high level. As I said, completely satisfied for the price. In comparison to my Viltrox Speedbooster, the workmanship is definitely of a higher quality. We'll see how durable it is, I'll update the review if necessary.

knew there were no electrical connections between the adapter and the camera, so no way for autofocus etc, but I'm old enough to have used the camera long before autofocus came along, so there was no fear for me. The day after it arrived, I mounted it on the Cannon and then the Olympus and after hearing the satisfying 'click' as it clicked into place, I focused the lens and suddenly everything was pin sharp.

The designation "NIK(G)-L" on the lens indicates which "lens / connection / thread size" it is. You can find the "lens / connection / thread size" of the camera in the manual or on the respective manufacturer's website. Since it is only a material and not an electronic connection, the focus and aperture setting must be done manually. The camera usually notices that there is no electronic connection, so a change must be made in the camera settings. In my opinion, the lens adapter is very high quality and is definitely not cheap plastic and is very good.
