I originally purchased my isteady x direct from hohem and loved using it for a few months but today On 23 August 2020 I powered up my iSteady-X gimbal it was working normally. Then I connected to the home application as usual still everything okay. Then I got a pop-up message to update my firmware. As suggested, I pressed continue. Next, the gimbal completely stopped working and is now WORTHLESS. There is no way to connect to the app and it will not function in any way.** Review Update** it took me a while but after not getting a response from the company I attempted to self troubleshoot... I deleted and reinstalled the app then un-paired and re-paired the app on Bluetooth a few times on my galaxy s9+.after turning everything off and restarting I was able to establish a connection. (no other Bluetooth connection can be in use!) I was able to receive the pop up for a firmware update again this time which was not showing the other times. I restarted the update and upon completion, the gimbal began to work again. It is important to disable the lock screen and watch that the update completes itself. This may have been the problem although I did not notice the first two times It asked me to update.

The gimbal itself its really good, portable, light weight and super easy to use.For those who are looking to have a super easy to use gimbal this is the right one for you.If you looking to get more serious about filming and contemplating the idea of adding lenses, ND filters and counterweights. This is NOTthe device for you.You can still add these to the gimbal. But does it gonna hold weight!??? Not really. Why!???The limit payload in this device is 280g. Roughly phones are roughly around 100-150 or more.For exampleI have and iphone XR, with case and moment lenses. The weight is over to 250.Unfortunately you will burning the motors and going through batteries fairly quickly.Lastly its not compatible with Filmic PRO yet.My conclusion.As an technological product definitely getting 5 starts.For a semi pro level filming. 1 starAny add-ons consider a different device.

It is the best stabilizer that I have been able to have compact, easy to use and for lovers of vlogging and photos this should not be left to start your world of networks for the practice and the shots that it lets you do in videos and photography. The app has good resolution .. They must have this

My husband and I love to go to new places! Parks, lakes, beaches and more! Recording all the time with my phone was getting boring! I’m thankful for finding this product! I completely recommend this 100%%!

For someone that never used a gimbal before this is a great product. Very strong material. Super easy to use. Great stabilization.I like how it fits my phone perfectly that way Im not afraid that my phone is going to fall. The app has a lot of different features. Im still learning to navigate on it but so far I'm enjoying the product.

I really like that the size fit with the places that I want to use! I have iPhone XR and works very nice, I think works in others version and model as well

This 2 axis phone stabilizer is amazing. The app seems much improved from the previous version and it works as described with all features. Only downside is the app takes a lot of battery to run on your phone so be ready to charge it after a good use.

Outstanding purchase. Operates just as advertised. Very easy to use and creates very smooth videos. I love it. Everything cane just as the seller advertised.
