Been purchasing K&F filters for years and they are my go to when I need a filter for a task.

I’m learning new photography skills using ND filters. What makes this one nice is it does 1-5 stops. It’s got dots at each stop so I know where to stop. It stops rotating precisely at 1 and at 5 so no mistake can be made.

It’s magnetic. There is a ring that screws into my lens and the filter sticks to that ring magnetically. This allows quick removal of the filter so that reference photos can be taken first, if desired. The filter pops off and on easily and stays securely.

A plastic case is included for protection.

I have nothing negative to say about the set up. It works well and is high quality. I recommend this filter.

I have only been experimenting with this lens for a few days but it worked very well at the beach where I wanted to "smooth out" the water on a very brightly lit day. The photos came out well and the filter fit perfectly for me--I had no issues installing it or removing it (it didn't stick in place as some filters can). It is certainly an interesting filter for landscape photographers or those interested in refining their art.

Excellent product. Very minimal colour shift and no dreadful X. Should have add-on option to purchase the magnetic lens cover as a bundle.

Over all build quality and design is very good but Having vignetting with 24mm lens, Best to use with higher focal length than 24mm

Initially, I did not like the fact that when I was trying to rotate to change stops, the whole body of the filter was rotating, but then I realized that there is a special lock of the filter when you place it on a magnet ring locking body of the filter and allow easy rotation of the adjustment ring.
The overall quality of the filter is superb. Great color and sharpness. No X pattern.

I'm really digging these new filters that K&F are releasing. The magnetic filter system is a great idea for strong ND filters because I often need to compose my shot without the ND filter attached (because it's much easier to see through the lens without it) and then attach it to take the shot; being able to simply snap the filter on to the front of the lens takes a lot of the hassle out of detaching and reattaching the filter.

The optical quality is superb, with excellent clarity and barely any color cast. The build quality of the metal rings is solid; they are smoothly machined with smooth edges and nice knurling. The rotating ND filter turns smoothly, with hard stops at either end of the spectrum so you know when you've reached the limits.

The magnetic attachment holds the filter in place snugly but it's probably best used in controlled tripod setups where you know the lens won't be bumped; I definitely wouldn't use this in any kind of crowd situation where someone or something could knock the filter off, because it wouldn't take much of a bump to cause this to happen.

There's no lens cap included, presumably because the extra weight of it would make the filter too heavy for the magnets to comfortably hold. K&F does make a magnetic lens cap, which I got with a different K&F filter set, but it doesn't fit on the outside of the ND filter because the outer ring is larger than 77mm. However, the magnetic lens cap DOES fit on the inner ring so you could use it when you're not using the ND filter. As far as I can tell you can't buy the magnetic lens cap by itself, only bundled with other filters.

This filter is easily comparable in quality to those made by Tiffen. It's fairly priced, and I would definitely recommend it for tripod-based landscape photography.

K&F is one of the most underrated brands in photography/videography. Because they are value-priced, the You-Tubers out there turn their nose up at this brand while they hawk more expensive brands through their affiliate links, but after owning and using a half dozen K&F filters, I'm a convert. I had purchased a Tilta Mirage matte box, with the intention of using a large-format variable ND filter, but while the matte box looked impressive, I realize that it was more of a hassle than it was worth just to "look cool", so I was looking for a screw-on variable ND and settled on the K&F concept. As advertised, it delivers 5 full stops of exposure control and, most importantly, does so without the dreaded "X" that is a frequent problem with cheaper filters. I did a comparison using the Tilta Mirage variable ND and the K&F filter, and there was no visible difference in qualtiy.

When I ordered this filter, I was unaware of the magnetic mounting system, and I have to say that I am now spoiled forever. With the magnetic ring srewed on, mounting and unmounting the filter takes just a second. I wish more filter manufacturers would use this system.

The price to qualify ratio for this filter is excellent.

This filter has 5 stops varies the density as per light intensity required. Overall quality is great and it is a good product to carry for the photoshoots.

I love this filter. I can dial in how much/many stops of light reduction I want with just one filter vs carrying a bunch in my camera bag. Mounts to my nikon lense no problem and works well for long daytime exposures.
