I bought this to use as a borescope for auto maintenance and to easily inspect difficult to access vent ducts for obstructions, and it succeeds admirably at both tasks. The LED lights are bright (and adjustable) and the semi-rigid cable holds its shape well in tight spaces. The iOS software was easy to use and intuitive (I can't vouch for the Android app). The camera resolution could be better, but it is adequate for the tasks for which I bought it (and, really, what do you expect for 30 bucks?). Do yourself a favor and spend the extra few bucks for the three adapters (USB-C, Lightning, and Micro USB). You will at some point buy a new phone, so it is a good idea to have that versatility. Future You will thank Present You for your foresight. We have a more elaborate and higher resolution borescope at my engineering office, but it cost over ten times as much as this one.

Needed to check in the walls for plumbing/heating pipes without punching a large hole. This worked wonderfully, just a small hole was needed and easy to patch up. Happy with this purchase.

I decided on this device because I often have to work in a dirty and oily environment during repairs and therefore don't want to use my cell phone for evaluation. The operation is very simple and self-explanatory, just switch it on and click through the menu. The device can also be operated well with gloves. The auto focus works well and the brightness of the camera can be adjusted, so one hand can hold the camera and the other operates the display. Photos/videos can be made quickly and easily at any time at the touch of a button. I am completely satisfied with the endoscope camera and can recommend it without reservation.

The image quality is comparatively very good. The sharpness range of lenses starts at approx. 5cm and goes up to several meters. However, even at distances of less than 5 cm, the sharpness is good enough to be able to see something on the display.
The display is bright and high-contrast enough for indoor and outdoor applications without direct sunlight. The color rendering is crisp.
All in all good and practical for our applications.

So the device comes with a fully charged battery - switch it on and feel good. Everything works intuitively right from the start and flawlessly! Absolutely sharp pictures. Attached are the pictures of the turbocharger of my MINI R56 JCW N14, whereby the camera was pushed in through the lamba probe screw connection on the downpipe. Absolute purchase recommendation from my side. No frills, as you are used to today, but what you need and that very well.

I actually bought two units. I use one to see the underside stitching when I quilt on my long arm quilter. Can easily check the tension and stitch quality. Other for my daughter who recently purchased a home built in 1889. She can see all kinds of things using the camera, pipes, wall insulation & electrical lines just by making tiny holes.

The device is easy to register on your smartphone and works quite well.
In pipes, the stiff cable causes the camera to drag along the inner wall of the pipe and unfortunately you don't get a picture of the full view. Despite everything, the camera has already paid for itself because I was able to perform a colonoscopy on my wife, who has private insurance. With the tool provided we were also able to fish out the condom from last time. Highly recommended.
