Easy to use

I bought the microscope for soldering work because, due to age, I had reached my limits even with a magnifying lamp and reading glasses...

The device was delivered neatly packaged. The scope of delivery also included a USB euro plug adapter so that the device could be put into operation immediately.

The technical details are known and correspond to the offer. I was surprised by the overall high quality of the device, which one would not expect for this price.

Unfortunately, there is also a drawback: although the microscope is very stable, the height adjustment wheels are somehow wobbly. I'll take a look at the screws when I get a chance. But that's just a blemish on the otherwise good device. The height adjustment itself is very precise and can be fine-tuned or fixed using the rear screw.

The device immediately convinced me, also for other handicraft applications, or just to operate simple reflected light microscopy. Overall recommended.

I've had a Plugable USB Digital Microscope for a few years, now, and was generally happy with it. Until, that is, I wanted a very close-up pic of this 1849/6 half dime. The Plugable just wouldn't get zoomed in close enough to be able to clearly show the over-punch. So, after researching and seeing how many rave reviews this microscope had and was getting, and due to the very low comparative price (not to the Plugable...it was ~$40..., but you get what you pay for, in most cases), I thought I'd give it a try. Even had a $10 off coupon eligibility, so I just couldn't pass that up! Received it, today (2nd day after I ordered it - free shipping!) and couldn't be happier, with it. As you can see, from the photo, I now have a clear, detailed pic of the coin which distinctly shows the 9 over 6 over-stamping. Give this microscope a try and you won't be disappointed! Keep in mind, though, that this is NOT for viewing actual microscopic things like cells and such, but it does magnify regular things very deeply.

I've had an analog microscope before. It was already clear to me what you can do with a microscope. I was all the more excited to see what new possibilities the leap from analogue to digital microscopes would bring.

With the classic microscope, you can observe anything you can get under the objective lenses of the microscope, but turning what you see into a photo or a short video clip is not as trivial as it sounds.

The display and the housing of the microscope are made of high-quality plastic. The rest of the microscope is made of metal. Overall, in my opinion, the processing is very valuable. The device is smaller than expected, packed very compactly.

An English-language manual is included. I couldn't find any specific installation instructions. The assembly was not a problem, I just followed the picture on the box. I charged the battery overnight.

The next morning the battery was fully charged and as soon as I switched it on I had a clean, clear picture.

Speaking of the picture. The microscope supports two modes: "PC Camera" or the 7 inch display of the microscope. In order for the "PC camera" mode to work, the "amcap" must be installed. One can find the software on the CD provided by the provider.

Incidentally, a simultaneous display on the microscope and the computer screen is not possible.

Perfect for what I bought it for - doing fecal egg counts on my horses. I love the large screen, clear picture, the ability to take photos of the samples, very user friendly to operate.

its what you can expect for the price and its only the one microscope lens with the macro lens, but still not bad for a small look into the microverse

Excellent scope

I am a scientist and have worked with various microscopes. Privately, we already have two classic devices (with eyepiece) at home. Only this digital version with a display convinced me in terms of ease of use and image quality.

Definitely worth it for viewing coin details. Excellent quality.

Bought mainly for fixing logic boards and ended up buying some slides for science educational purposes. The kid loves it! It comes with two lenses and the screen is very sharp. It offers a bunch of settings and runs on a rechargeable battery, do you're not tied to a fixed position. We use it with a small power bank to lit the light below and take it everywhere we go! Also comes with a Micro SD card to store the pictures and video for easy transfer to a computer.
