I got this light in hopes of helping get some better lighting on small soldering projects and I'm happy to report it works quite well.I like that it uses USB so I can plug it into the USB port on my power strip and not use a plug, that's pretty handy. I also like that the arms are long and have good range and stay where you put them. So far so good.The power line has a little set of buttons that let you turn on both lights, or pick one or the other to be lit. Very handy. You can also dim/brighten the light which is good. The lights are spotlight style so they're quite focused on the work.Now for what I think could be improved. The color of the lights is a single cold bluish light that you'll be familiar with if you've used LED lights. I wish it had some adjustment to allow for slightly warmer tones.The clip also isn't great. It's kind of like big chip clip that fits on the edge of my workbench just fine but I kind of wish it had a clamp style to make it more sturdy.Since it's made for use with microscopes, it's a little too focused on the lights coming straight up out of the clip and I wish they were able to come out the sides to let me put the clip dead center of my workspace and then kind of bend the lights around each side to focus on my project. However, the arms are long enough that I can offset this and still get the spotlights where I need them.All in all, it's a good addition to the lighting on my workbench.

These are made for Microscopes (mostly the ones that are more like magnifiers than a lab microscope), and work well for that. But I also find them useful for soldering and other work that needs adjustable and targeted lighting for better visibility. My biggest complaint is the location of the controls - for some uses it is fine, but depending on where you clip it and have it plugged in for power, adjusting the brightness can be tedious when it is not easy to reach the buttons. But besides the location of the controls I am happy with these lights, and they have helped me with multiple types of projects (including using with a magnifier).

My boyfriend has gotten into building Warhammer minis, and this light was perfect for his needs. So many of these figures have teeny tiny parts that have to be glued together, so you really need to have a lot of light to see what you’re doing. The omnidirectional light that this lamp offers was perfect for the detail work he was doing. He was extremely happy with this lamp!

Really a good unit. Helps out with seeing the small work. Good picture quality, easy to focus and adjust, Pretty good work time on a charge. Two things I would have wanted to know in advance. The deck lighting on the flexible arms are nice, but run off of a USB cable from the power supply, not a battery. The are bright and useful. And light up dark objects very well. Most item you don’t need them. Second, the platform is relatively small. No a critical thing, but noteworthy. I will making a larger platform for this one to sit down into for my larger items. Would still have bought this unit. It is a good Microscope.

We've used this as our field microscope for over a month now, works great, great battery life and does everything we needed for under $150

Just as required in my biology class supply list, the eyepiece was always a pain for my eyesight as I wear glasses which made looking through the scope uncomfortable. This LCD screen was a life saver! The controls are extremely easy to access and the LCD lets you take pictures and videos up close too! Since the microscope does not need to be plugged in to work, all my needs were met! I'm honestly looking forward to a good semester this quarter!!

This is a great microscope for the money. Switching from one lens to another is a little tricky. Otherwise I have no problems with it at all.
