Yongnuo YN 50mm f/1.8 Standard Fixed Focus Lens Autofocus for Canon EF-mount EOS Cameras
SKU: GW21.0006
First of all, one thing is important for me to say: "Without experience and if you only shoot in JPG without the possibility of post-processing in RAW format, you won't get such pictures!" I used the lens on an old Eos 500D. The photos I uploaded here were all shot in manual mode as raw and then edited in Lightroom 6 and exported with the highest level of detail. I used autofocus as well as manual focus here. To date I have shot 200 photos. Absolutely impressed what you get here for around 50€. In my opinion it is in no way inferior to the original Canon and I am very, very, very picky when it comes to technical hardware of any kind. Now all that remains is to prove its longevity. To classify my rating, here are my cameras that I otherwise use/have used: - EOS 100D with 50mm 1.8 STM from Canon & 24mm 2.8 from Canon. - Samsung system camera with K&F Concept 85mm 1.4. - Sony RX100 MK1. - Eos 750D with 50mm 1.8 MK1 from Canon.

Didn't expect much due to the price, but just wouuu.... a cream part that is only slightly noticeable except for the slightly slower auto focus. Well and cleanly processed, the Canon lens comes very close. Friends could find no or minimal differences on the PC. Top price-performance ratio. I would buy it again, for beginners and also for those like me who broke the Canon.

I wasn't expecting much but got amazing photo quality. I use this with Canon 1300D mostly for urban photography

Really good for the price The AF is a bit noisy and drifts at 99% The manual focus is quite ok but the focus is difficult to turn at first it gets better over time

was looking for a prime lens and just wanted to try this product for the price. The original Canon product easily costs twice as much. But since I don't shoot with a fixed focal length all the time, it didn't necessarily have to be an expensive product. Delivery was super fast! Matching the lens, the two covers are included and a small bag. However, the opening of the bag is quite narrow, so that you have to be patient to put the lens in and out. I don't use this bag as I keep all my gear in a camera backpack. Have had the lens for 2 days now and have done a few indoor shots so far. I think the pictures are very good! FYI: I am a pure amateur photographer and only take photos for my private use. Maybe I don't always look at my photos as critically as others might. In any case, I am very satisfied with the first pictures. The autofocus works very well and of course makes noise. However, these are not louder than with other lenses. I've attached sample images where I mainly want to draw attention to the depth of field. All pictures were taken with the following Exifs: 1/500, aperture 1.8, ISO 100, manual focus.

Great lens at a low price. Sensitive to light and beautiful in sharpness. Maybe not quite as good as the Canon lens, but not bad to start with. I've even read in tests that the specialists were totally amazed at the quality. I think it's often a matter of opinion, especially in photography. ;-) Attached are 2 sample images. I would be happy about a like.

First of all: As a hobby photographer, I use the Canon clone with a Commlite AF adapter on my Sony A7II: + Haptics: small, light (117g), short + Processing: ugly, all plastic + Performance: Rapid AF and AF-C (although adapted !) + Optical performance: With an open aperture max. 1.8 nice sharpness, bokeh very creamy (I like that, it's always a matter of taste). Also sharp when stopped down to F/5.7 in the landscape shot. Minimal edge drop, only CAS (chromatic aberrations) were recognizable (see photo transition sky - mountain). Attached are sample images (Jpeg out-of-cam), I quickly cropped the balcony shot to check. So, and now butter on the fish: I paid a ridiculous 100€ for the lens and got a really great optic for it. I analyzed the images in the LR and with my other lenses from Zeiss et al. compared. Conclusion: I can warmly recommend the longest focal length, which doesn't need to hide, to everyone! Especially those who place little value on "Zeiss ect. Prestige", but are simply looking for a very light, small and good 50mm fixed focal length. I just ordered the lens out of curiosity, but it will still have a permanent place next to my camera.

am very surprised by Yongnuo's prime lens. It is in no way inferior to the original. You know that you can only have a low sharpness with an open aperture. The auto focus works well. The volume doesn't bother me in the least. I'm not the filmmaker though. My priority is photography. The manual focus is very smooth. I really like the bokeh

I'm not a professional photographer, I only use it privately and I'm thrilled. For my purposes primarily in the house it is a wonderful lens, at this price such a fast lens is great. The only small drawback is the volume of the drive when you use it with autofocus.
