Yongnuo YN 50mm f/1.8 Standard Fixed Focus Lens Autofocus for Canon EF-mount EOS Cameras
SKU: GW21.0006
First of all, I bought a Canon EOS 60D with a kit lens EF-S 17-85mm 7 years ago for a holiday trip and since then I have only taken pictures occasionally. Now, however, I would like to use the camera more and bought a manual with professional tips that also dealt with the topic of fixed focal lengths. In short, I found the topic interesting - so I quickly searched Amazon and bought the Yongnuo 50mm used as "very good". I'm positively surprised, the lens is light, bright, the autofocus does what it's supposed to and relatively quickly. Now that I've taken some portrait and architectural shots, for which this lens is really predestined, I've now tried my hand at macro shots with this lens

Fast delivery, the lens works very well. However, the processing does not seem to be good, the lens body wobbles a bit in the recording, but no impairment of the function can be seen so far. AF works very well and quickly, not quietly but that doesn't bother me. For the price a super part...! ;)

At first I was skeptical when I looked at this fixed focal length. I found out about it thanks to YouTube. I got the lens for my somewhat outdated EOS 400d and am very pleasantly surprised at how well it works. For the price an absolute buy recommendation!

unpacked the lens and you can tell a very big difference, it's mostly all plastic, once the AF is set and set you can hear it loud as it focuses the image. I've been trying for a couple of hours and I don't really like the autofocus as it doesn't focus as well, manual focus is better. Here is a picture of my cat. The quality is convincing, I would not have thought that such good photos would come out with a €40 lens. Those are the first things I noticed. Well worth it, especially for the price :)

I am amazed at the value for money. Focal length 1.8 a very good result. If you put a few scales on it, then you get a focal length of 1.6 :) I'll keep that thing. I decided to do this because of portrait pictures. And since a fixed focal length is more suitable because of the better depth of field.

So I'm really very surprised and excited here you get something good for little money. The lens arrived very quickly and was packaged in air-cushioned packaging. It fits perfectly on my canon eos 1000d, technically no problems. I want to use this lens for portraits. Since I only take pictures as a hobby, that's enough. Unfortunately, the really good lenses are very expensive, so I was very unsure how this cheap model would look, but I was surprised at how good the focus is. I can't complain.

Can't really fault anything for the price. Only the loud and somewhat slow autofocus "could" be annoying. Otherwise, I am very satisfied!

The lens is definitely worth the price! At first I wanted to order the Canon 50mm lens, but then by chance I came across this one. I used it for the first time today (horse photography) and am thrilled! Unbelievable what a lens for only 50€ can do! While I have to say the autofocus isn't particularly fast, the manual focus ring is a bit spongy and the image sharpness isn't quite as good as the original, it's definitely worth it for the price. I myself only recently switched to manual photography completely, which is why the rather poor autofocus doesn't bother me. The lens is my first real lens (besides the kit lens from Canon) and I can recommend anyone who is just starting out in photography to get this lens. Luckily I was able to try the original 50mm lens before and the differences really aren't that big. Conclusion: If you are just starting out with photography, you will certainly have a lot of fun with this lens and can improve a few things with it. However, if you have been taking photos for a long time and value high quality and image sharpness more, you should rather go for the original.

I bought this fixed focal length because it was recommended to me several times. At first I was a bit skeptical because of the comparatively low price, but this lens convinces with good pictures. The bokeh is absolutely amazing - just really beautifully blurred. So I would recommend this lens to everyone!

decided on this lens because I wanted a cheap fixed focal length lens for my system camera. The Yongnuo YN 50mm is used with an AF adapter on my Sony Alpha 7. After about a month of testing, I am positively overwhelmed. The images with this lens are razor sharp and the depth of field is more than surprising for this price.
