The kids had so much fun with it and I was too excited with them to take pics while they were exploring with the metal detector. The great part is we went camping while the water was super low and they brought me a couple of fishing lures they found.

They didn't find any money like they were hoping, but ended up finding a lot of other fishing gear (all junk), but it's all about the discovery for them. The real added bonus is the foldable shovel/pick. While a bit heavy, it is compact and is a great multi-tool to consider taking backpacking.

I brought this for my kids who are 6 and 10 and they absolutely love it! We used it for a treasure hunt in the garden! Hours of fun and good quality for the price. Very light in weight so easy for my little ones to use too.

My wife and I have bought this and have not had any issues with it. It is easy to carry, even if you dont have the case. The added attachments can hook to a belt which helps to keep hands free, something I really like. I am a novice with metal detectors and found that the manual that accompanies this is easy to follow and makes the first time user feel more confident.

We have only been out with the detector a couple times so far but plan on going hunting as often as possible. The picture is our first find.

So when I told my wife I wanted to get a metal detector she looked at me crazy. This is something I had always wanted to take to the beach and try out but I hadn't pulled the trigger until now. It's a blast! It was super easy to set up I didn't even need tools (or the instructions). The shovel comes in handy so I'm not scraping my hands against the sand to find my "Treasures" haha. It's straightforward to use. Definitely recommend.

This is the first detector I’ve purchased. It’s easy to use and the display is easy to figure out. I was able to assemble and use it without directions. We own an older property and the previous owners buried scrap metal like squirrels bury nuts. It clearly distinguishes between metals of different types, but found it signals fe metals over others in a mixed material situation. The battery life is acceptable considering it is 2 9v. The batteries may last longer if you turn the unit off to dig for treasures. The shovel it comes with is a nice size, but not real sturdy. I’d reserve it for sand or mud digging. This is by no means a professional unit, but with patience and practice you should be able to be quite proficient quickly.

My boyfriend and I bought this to use at the beach this summer. We decided to try it out first today at the local park. Let me say I was surprised at how much we found! While we found a lot of nails, etc., the displays on the screen were very accurate about what we were going to find, we dug these up to see how well the detector did. It was accurate all the time! When it lit up and toned that we were over a certain type of coin, it was correct. We found several dimes, and a quarter, which was more than we expected where we were testing it. The machine is so lightweight and has a comfortable strap for your arm. This made it so easy to carry without getting tired. I can’t wait to spend a day at the beach with it! Copy

This is our first metal detector & it is SO much FUN!

We keep finding metal objects in our yard, that were left behind by the previous owners, & I have stepped on a few of them. They seem to be in a general area where we believe they had bonfires. I want to avoid anyone else stepping on the foreign metal objects & thought it would be HELPFUL to have a metal detector.

I read several Amazon reviews & decided upon this metal detector.

Assembly took hubby all of 5 minutes, if that. We installed 2 rechargeable 9v batteries, & went to work.

The detector is USER FRIENDLY (even for a newbie to detecting), it detects ALL metal, & feels SOLID, & works WELL.
It has a CASE to store/transport it in, though you do need to REMOVE the detector screen to store the metal detector in the carrying case.

All you have to do is detach the wiring harness, which is a 2 second process.

The detector comes with the manual, detector pieces, a carrying case, AND a handy FOLDING hand shovel, which even has it's own separate storage pouch, which is great because it keeps dirt from off the shovel OUT of the main case.

As shown in the video, it is VERY easy to select ALL metal types. Tap the SET button TWICE & then ENTER, and you are READY to detect.

It has a screen backlight, which you can leave off to conserve battery life. It also has VOLUME settings & the CAPABILITY of adding a headset, should you desire (headset NOT included).

The unit feels SOLID, though NOT terribly heavy, it can tire your arm out if you use it for a long time (especially for a newbie like me).

Battery life is GREAT, with our USB rechargeable batteries (NOT included). The batteries were half charged when we installed them & still were about the same when we finished using it about 2 hours later. It is GREAT being able to use rechargeable batteries in it, to save money.

The ARM REST is COMFORTABLE & the ARM STRAP is SECURE, which makes for a comfortable exploring experience. My older/taller kids can use it without any issue (tween plus) when using the ARM REST, as they are 5' & taller. My shorter kids can use it too, though they can't use the arm rest because they are too short, it does NOT stop them. lol

Overall, we are VERY happy with the metal detector. It has SUCCESSFULLY found various items in the old bon fire area, like screws, nails, pennies, shards of metal, etc. VERY grateful those are pieces of metal, etc that will NOT be going into my feet, nor that of my hubby, kids, or critters.

This is a GREAT starter detector & also seems like it would also be great for the SEASONED metal adventurer too. Not sure what else one would need in a detector, because this seems to have it all.

I am so happy with my new metal detector. It's absolutely brilliant. It was easy to put together and I really like that it's lightweight. The setting on this are really easy to understand and I love the fact that this model gives you an indication of what you have found on the display screen. I also really like that you get a bag with this because it makes it so easy to transport until you get to a place where you want to use it. The shovel that you get with this is really good. It's not a flimsy one so some of them that you might get. It's very durable. Me and my foster child are really looking forward to going out with our new metal detector and in his words, to find lots of treasure. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is thinking about purchasing a metal detector.

I got this for two reasons, to play treasure hunting with my son in the park and to search for historical coins in the fields. I’m pretty impressed with it so far. Good value. Setup is very easy, assembled it without instructions. Lightweight so it won’t be a strain to your arms. The beeper is loud enough in most environment but in windy days, it was hard to hear. Headphones is needed.

While this is a little above £100, it is relatively on the cheap side. The depth it can detect metallic objects won’t be as good as the more expensive detectors. I think the deepest item I found was about 4 inches, a Fanta can. The depth is dependent on the type of object and size. Personally speaking, for beginners, this is ideal. At some point, I will consider a more professional detector. I did contact customer service for additional info, quick response and info very helpful. So, you have that just in case.
