So far my granddaughter loves this microscope because it's real and not a toy!

It's easy to use. Ideal for children, beginners, students and adults. The case makes it easy to take with you.

As a child I had no real interest in science or looking at things through a telescope or microscope, but as an adult that has changed. I currently have two telescopes and wanted a microscope so I ordered this one which is marketed as an entry level microscope. It was really easy to set up and came in a nice storage case. I really like the various features of this microscope, especially the lighting above and below the "deck" or whatever it is called. I don't yet know which light to use on a particular specimen, so at the end I look at it with each individual light and can then determine which is the best. I can see different details depending on the light I use, but I still use it, so I still enjoy looking at things. The microscope, objectives and eyepieces all seem to be of really good quality and the microscope itself is heavy and well balanced so doesn't tend to move when viewing samples. I have my own "work table" in our basement office that I keep the microscope on and because I didn't want to pack it in the case and take it out and just leave it on the desk I ordered a microscope cover to keep it dust and other things keeps away, which I would recommend if you omit it. Overall I am very happy with this microscope and it is always very interesting to look at things through it. My kids think it's pretty cool too and if I can get them involved in science with things like telescopes and microscopes then I'm all for it

The gift was made by my little kids which I didn't use and discover in the world of mini science.

It is intended for a young student and the gear is great in its carrying case and very engaging. And the quality must be sufficient for the start.

This is a great microscope for beginners. Two different lighting positions and a kit with slides and powerful magnifying lenses. The controls are easy to use!
