My daughter was so excited about this microscope! The opportunity for her to see everyday things up close and clear was great! It's certainly well made and sturdy – even tough. The case is fantastic and lined really well to keep it safe!

As a lab technician, I was quite surprised at the quality. It's actually made out of some kind of metal. It's not as heavy as hospital grade, but it's still pretty sturdy. The lens looks decent. I like that you can connect it to a monitor. In fact, immersion oil is also included. The tweezers also feel quite strong. I like that it includes slides and glass covers. However, it would have been nice if they had provided some stained slides. I would definitely gift it to someone who is interested in science.

The build quality of this microscope is pretty solid. The fit and finish are okay, although the nose piece looks a bit rough and works quite well. This is the first microscope I've gotten from Amazon that has a proper platform to adjust it with. This is vital and being able to find your sample is essential. And it comes with the right oil for the highest magnification. The binocular eyepieces are adjustable, although they don't look like it. They use the Siedentopf head, which is preferable to a sliding head. One of the pre-fixed slides was not properly fixed so finding the sample was not easy, but the other two were fine! The coverslips are far too small for the slides and will move when the mineral oil is on them. The overall quality and visibility is super good and clear. I think it's really great for both beginners and intermediates.

If you are looking for a semi-professional, inexpensive microscope, buy this one! Nice quality, works very well, nice case! The only gripe is that the lenses aren't as "close together" as some others. So if your eyes are a little closer together than normal, this may not work well for you. Beyond amazing.

What I like about it is that you can use both eyes at the same time and see really fine details that you might not see if you only use one to see. I would highly recommend my friend. Thank you very much. I hope my review was helpful to you. If yes, please let me know by ticking the box below. God protect you. May the rest of your life be the best of your life. Oh Dee.

Not top-of-the-line equipment, but very good quality to start exploring the world of the infinitesimal. Relatively complete and practical with the carrying case. To be seen in the long term, but seems appropriate with goals that do justice to their role.

am currently taking a number of medical courses that require extensive slide prep and wanted to have one at home to review my slides so I went with that option and decided to give it a try. Usage: General usage is fairly easy and being familiar with scopes I had no issues during the setup process. When it came to actually using the microscope, this is where I ran into the most problems. First, please note that you CANNOT see bacteria properly with this microscope. I have tried every possible magnification and adjustment of the amount and power of light, but nothing allowed me to see my bacterial E. coli slide that I had prepared (I have photos of the prepared slide on my light microscope in the lab compared to each level of magnification added for the same slide). on this microscope - it's day and night and terrible). For larger specimens (blood cells, plant cells, protozoa, epithelium and cross-sections of plants) this microscope performs quite well. I have included photos of the samples that were not bacteria and how they can be seen on this microscope. Some didn't focus properly at the 1000x total magnification (40x lens + 25x lenses), so that too was a coincidence. The biggest problem with observing is how easily the lenses get dirty. I hadn't used the microscope for more than 15 minutes and debris was already stuck in the lenses. Difficult to clean as the lenses are not rounded at the ends for easy cleaning like others do. These dig inward, making cleaning virtually impossible, making cleaning difficult. I hadn't used the microscope for more than 15 minutes and debris was already stuck in the lenses. The table clamps are readily available to ensure your slide does not move. However, since there are no mechanical table knobs, you can't really attach them if you have to constantly move the slide to find your sample. The light function to observe opaque objects on stage was pretty pointless. Unless you're simply looking at the stage without the microscopic lenses, it serves as a tiny desk lamp. I wasn't able to observe any kind of illumination through the lenses, so including them was a waste. The light source for viewing the slide underneath is also bright, but not as bright as other comparable microscopes in the same price range. Additionally, overall the microscope is nice. It's a nice item for beginners who haven't used a microscope before and really want to learn the basics and see some cells, bugs, plants, or tissues. The set contains everything you need to get started. However, don't expect this microscope to do anything complex or reliable for viewing bacteria. Overall I rate this item 3 stars as some things still need work.

Review of the Woehrsh Compound Binocular Microscope, 40X-2000X, Double Layer Mechanical Stress Table and LED Illumination Microscope for Adults, Student Laboratory and Adult Microscope This is a much better microscope than the monocular I had over 50 years ago. Precise control of slide/sample positioning is a real advantage when using a microscope. You place the slide on the fixed side, close the spring-loaded clip on the slide, and turn the two-dimensional motion control knobs (front-to-back and side-to-side) to bring the specimen on the slide into view. This feature is one of the reasons why it's a bit more expensive than comparable options that don't have this feature. This is a neat feature, and beats trying to center the sample by moving the slide with your fingers (the less you have to touch the glass, the better). The better professional microscopes move the entire stage as well as the slide, but this works well. The scope has two light sources, one above the stage and one below the stage. Both are independently adjustable in on/off and brightness. These are LED lights and can be battery operated or connected to a USB power source or USB adapter. There is no mirror light option. The lamps should be interchangeable if necessary. The optics are good. The calculated magnification is correct, 40-2000x. The 2000x magnification setting (the 40x lens and WF 50x eyepiece) is surprisingly not bad. At higher magnification the sample appears darker and less clearly resolved, better views at 500x magnification. I like the WF eyepieces best and I plan to supplement the supplied eyepieces with a pair of WF 20x or WF 25x with one of them dioptic (adjustable) so I can adjust it to the visual differences of my two eyes. This is a disadvantage of the optics that come with this scope. You can adjust the interpupillary distance, but not optical differences in your eyesight. This is typical for riflescopes in this price range. The fact that there is no eyepiece in the 20x range is an opportunity to fix this problem and add a magnification range. Overall quite nice, as I said, much better than the microscope I had years ago and also better than the ones I used in high school years ago. My star rating is based on this statement in the description: "It is suitable for student education, a gift for children, elementary science exploration and DIY experiments." For these purposes, this scope is ideal. See attached photo of a pre-made slide of a honey bee knee taken with my phone through the microscope at 10x and WF 50x settings.
