Weather Station Indoor Outdoor Thermometer Large LCD Display Digital Temperature Humidity Monitor, Weather Thermometer with Calendar and Automatic Light Sensing Function
SKU: GW40.0004
don't like the month-day format...and the ambient backlight is a little dim...it was easy to set up and can also be powered...The instructions are too complicated but I set it up using common sense and I am overall satisfied with the product

Super easy to set up! Date time alarm all very user-friendly. I like that the station unit and the box were already connected. All I gotta do is put one outside add batteries and it was ready to go! I did not use the included plug for the main station. I did use AAA batteries. Both units do take batteries that are not included. Looks great sitting on my shelf! Unit seems accurate. Overall very happy. The only downfall is the unit is usually not lit up. You can get it to light up by touching it. I just wish there was an option to have it lite all the time. Maybe there is a way an I just haven’t found it. It does have a user manual included but nothing about display brightness. Highly recommend though.

ALongSong have provided us with a nice looking weather station, and at first it all seems to work as claimed, nice and accurate. But the instructions don’t help, clearly not tested on an uninitiated customer seeing it for the first time.
My main problems were when trying to delve into more useful functions such as occasionally using the backlight in the dark, and automatically setting the time etc by the Radio signal (the whole point of it) instead of manually (easy), then not so good.
I walked around the house with it while it was trying to find a signal (blinking satellite dish) and the only location with a result (radiation lines emanating from the dish) was standing by an open window holding it out at arms length for a couple of minutes until it stopped blinking. Fortunately the sun was shining. I should not have to do this.
The case has six buttons, mostly self explanatory, with helpful legends on the back of the case enlarging on the functions, and the instructions mostly agree;
SET
UP/MEM/RCC
DOWN/T-ALERT/°C/°F
PRESSURE
CHANNEL
ALARM
BUT the instructions appear to list a seventh button which I cannot find,
SNOOZE/LIGHT
One might think it was part of the ALARM functions, but not for me, and I tried following the instructions at first, then other permutations that seemed worth a go. Nothing associated with SNOOZE has worked.
The remote sensor seems to work, but it is very definitely not waterproof. I find this a bit odd for an “Outdoor Sensor,” especially when the sensor for my much older station survived fifteen years out on the North wall of the house beside a bathroom window. I would not even consider putting the ALongSong outdoor sensor in that convenient location; it would fill up with small spiders and damp in a matter of weeks.
All this is a shame because it looks nice and is easy to read when USB powered, but it needs a light or a torch if on battery, and I do want to know what’s going on outside when I wake up in the morning, still snug and warm under the covers.
Addendum 3rd August 2023
The clock runs slow, losing about 5 seconds a day. This is OK if there is a signal to reset it every evening, but when it can't find the signal easily, as with my sample, then quite soon one notices it's a few minutes slow!
My very cheap watch is within a second or two over a whole week, so there is no excuse for this clock from Alongsong.

I installed it in my caravan to keep track of the weather and it was really easy to install. I installed the wireless sensor on the outside of the caravan and it seems to be giving good readings. The instructions are a bit confusing but I'm getting the hang of it and it's a great little weather station for keeping an eye on the weather while I'm in my caravan. Yes I know I can check it out on my phone but I just wanted to have something on the wall that I can check out in a second. It has good backlighting and lots of information on display. Overall I'm very happy with it and would definitely recommend it. Currently £42.99 with a 15% discount. I find a solid price that's worth it.

The “Weather Station with Outdoor Sensor” from “ALongSong” is a handy wireless weather station that provides plenty of daily information on its clear digital display.
Set up of the weather station is surprisingly simple. The outdoor sensor requires 2x AAA batteries, which don’t come included, so you’ll need some. The indoor digital display can be plugged into the mains / a USB pot or you can also power it with batteries. Personally, I opted to plug it into the mains using a simple USB plug adaptor.
Linking the display to the outdoor sensor was automatic for me. I have the sensor located in my summerhouse, some 20 meters away from the display unit. It had absolutely no problem at all connecting straight off at this distance and has continued to provide what appears to be consistent and accurate temperature readings from the summerhouse.
During the day the display unit is constantly illuminated with its LCD backing making it very easy to read, even at a distance or a passing glance. At night the blue illuminated backing doesn’t emit too much illumination to bother you if you have it in your bedroom. I have it on top of a chest-of-drawers at the other end of the bedroom and have not found the constant low-level illumination it provides bothersome at all.
The overall quality of the manufacture and materials used for both the display unit and the wireless outdoor sensor are excellent. They’re made from a tough and durable injection moulded hard-plastic that could certainly withstand a few accidental knocks and bumps without suffering any damage.
All in all I’ve been very impressed with the set. It works well, appears to be fairly accurate, and provides easy-to-read real-time information.

It was difficult at first to coordinate the field office, but I couldn't tell. explanation difficult to understand. But it worked and I'm thrilled

absolutely love the weather station. I have several as I have a greenhouse full of orchids. Most feature a small, short-lived outdoor unit. Everything about this set is bigger, prettier, and easier to read. I wanted a bedside clock and this one has a clock at the top. I hadn't really thought about it before, but this little article will help me decide how to dress for the day. I opened the box and plugged in the indoor unit's plug (a USB plug that didn't come with the plug for the wall unit). I added batteries to both and they connected immediately. No buttons to press or anything. Very easy. I placed the outdoor piece on the windowsill outside and there are no problems with the two items staying connected. The price is a bit higher than some I've bought, but like I said, the features are very good. Easy to read face. Even at night you can press the button on the front and it will light up for a few seconds. Five stars. I had no trouble setting up and I like the size of both units.

I purchased my parents a similar setup at a local big box lumber store, so thats my comparison.
This runs off of batteries, like theirs, yet i cant figure out how to get it to stay lit up so i can actually see it like theirs without using the USB. (Most places i would hang this are nowhere near an outlet........)
The outdoor temp receiver works great, and has sat out thru rain etc, and is holding up just fine, and is damn accurate, when checking other temp sources.
I woke up the other day, and our bedroom stays pretty warm, but when i walked out i was shocked because we forgot to turn the heat back on, and this read 60 degrees and so did the house thermostat.
Other than the temps, i dont care about the moon cycle, and I always have my watch or phone on me so the time isnt that useful.
Overall i just wish i could figure out how to have it lit up all the time without usb and it would be 5 stars.

This has a large screen, and the numbers and letters are large and bold enough to make them easy to read, even at an angle.
There is a large weather icon which shows the weather for the next few hours, and an at a glance smile icon shows whether the temperature is comfortable inside. The station has the useful option of setting temperature alerts.
The display is bright enough to read easily, but the screen light auto dims at night to conserve power.
The instructions are detailed and helpful, making it very easy to set up and use.
It can be powered by USB or batteries, allowing flexibility of use.
The external sensor is accurate if correctly placed - not in direct sunlight, etc.
It would be useful if the clock time was driven by the MSF time signal (i.e. the “Rugby Clock”, which isn’t actually at Rugby any more). Each time you switch off the unit, you have to do a manual reset.
Great value, and looks more expensive than it is.
