This is extremely handy for knowing the time, date, and weather conditions in and outside your home. My favorite part is that set-up was a breeze. The indoor unit can be plugged into a wall via an included USB-C cable, and the outdoor unit only takes two AAA batteries. My unit synced automatically, and was ready to go in a matter of minutes. It is intuitive and easy to set the time, date, time, zone, and format. I have also tested it against my home thermostat and it is accurate! The size is appropriate; the unit is large enough to see clearly, but small enough to be relatively unobtrusive in a room. It also has an auto-dim feature for night time, which is convenient. Unlike some other units that only have an outdoor sensor, without a temperature display, this unit shows the temperature on the outdoor sensor as well, which is convenient if you are outside.

A good looking base unit with a clear easy to read screen, the base can be run off of batteries and in this mode the screen goes to sleep, backlight turns off but you can still see some details. To wake it you touch at the bottom of the screen. Powering it via USB C connector allows the screen backlight to stay on, it has three brightness levels. The clock is set via radio so should be accurate, it can be manually set if there are issues with receiving the signal. The moon phases are also shown along with an indication of the potential weather (I think this is deduced from pressure, temperature and humidity conditions). One sensor is supplied but it can support up to three, the sensor automatically synced with the base but this can be done manually if required. The remote also shows the temperature and humidity on its built in display. The base displays internal temperature where it is located and the temperature where ever the remote is mounted. The remote operated OK over 20 meters away from the base, note the remote is not waterproof so needs to be protected from rain etc.. There are a set of buttons on the top of the base that are used to set settings etc. including an alarm clock feature if you want to use it as your bedroom alarm clock/weather station. The kit seems to be well constructed out of decent quality plastics, including the remote, no batteries are supplied with the station so you will need 5 AAA batteries.

I've been after an indoor and outdoor weather station for a little while and this device is the perfect starting point for a weather station

There is an indoor and outside unit, both can be battery powered and the indoor unit can be also powered by usb plug cable.

The indoor provides a clear and bright screen that is easy to ready. Giving clear information on temperature both inside and outside along with pressure readings and moon phases.

Setting up these devices is very straightforward and within a few minutes it's all connected up.

For what it provides it is farily decent and easy to read and understand.

Definitely would recommend.

Our last weather station had to be replaced by the seller as it wasn't accurate with the outdoor temperature. Now, that replacement unit is acting the same way. We decided to try this ALongSong Weather Station Indoor Outdoor Thermometer. So far, it is perfect. I said "so far" as it took the other one to start giving inaccurate readings. Hopefully, this unit will continue to give us perfect readings. Not only does it give the temperature and humidity, but it also offers weather forecasts, moon phases, an alarm clock, atmospheric pressure index, and other things. It does just about everything but the dishes! I'm thrilled with this unit and very highly recommend it!

It's not "smart" like app-based IoT technology, but it's still pretty smart. It syncs with a satellite to keep the clock/calendar running accurately (it took about 4 hours to sync when first plugged in). It features a temperature/humidity sensor unit that is installed outside and sends data back to the weather station to give you a truly accurate local reading. You can add a total of 3 different external sensors should you wish to monitor temperatures in areas of your home, indoors or outdoors. The station also provides you with the weather forecast for the next 24 hours. The display adapts well to the ambient lighting. A USB-A to USB-C cable is included in the box to power the station. But there's also a slot for AA batteries, so your station will continue to function even in the event of a power outage.

I really like this weather station. My years old one that has done me proud for a long time has started to mess around and won’t connect to the outdoor sensor properly, so this is a welcome replacement.
In the box you get the main display, the outdoor sensor, a USB lead with plug and an instruction booklet.
It’s very easy to set up, the main unit takes either batteries or you can plug it in, the outdoor sensor needs batteries, once up and running there are a number of buttons along the top of the main display unit, and you use these to change the time and date etc. Or, if you plug the unit in with the lead as I have, it sets itself automatically. The outdoor sensor connected without any issues, but there are two small buttons (test & temp) and a switch on the inside of the battery compartment that you can use to change the channel it transmits from if you find it won’t connect, so slide the switch and see if that helps.
I placed the outdoor sensor on our shed wall, around 10 meters or so away from the unit which is on the kitchen windowsill, and it works perfectly.
I love the big clear colour display (my old one was black & white) and the moon phases, which is something I had on my last on and was eager to keep.
My only gripe with this unit is that when running on batteries only the colour display defaults to dark after 10 seconds, so to make the most out of the unit you really do need to plug it in.
There is also an alarm clock function if needed, but I don’t use this.
Overall, this is a great item, and I hope I get as many years out of it as I did my last one.

bought my parents a similar device at a local large lumber store, so that's my comparison. This unit is battery powered like yours but I don't know how to get it to stay lit so I can actually see it like yours without using the USB port. (Most places I would hang it isn't near an outlet........) The outside temp receiver works great, has survived rain etc, holds up just fine and is pretty damn accurate when checked other temporary sources. I woke up the other day and our bedroom stays quite warm but when I walked out I was shocked because we forgot to turn the heating back on and the gauge showed 60 degrees as did the house thermostat. Temperatures aside, I don't care about the lunar cycle and I always have my watch or phone with me, so time isn't that useful. Overall I just wish I could figure out how to keep it lit all the time without the USB and I would give 5 stars for that.

The ALongSong Weather Station is a great addition to any home, providing accurate weather information at a glance. The wireless outdoor sensor allows you to keep track of the weather conditions outside without having to step outside yourself. The RCC Radio Wave Signal Reception ensures that you have the correct time and date, even during daylight saving time changes.

The auto light sensing feature is a nice touch, automatically adjusting the brightness of the display based on the lighting conditions in the room. The large color display is easy to read and provides a wealth of information, including weather forecast, indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity, and more.

The digital atomic clock feature is also a useful addition, keeping accurate time and ensuring that you are always on schedule. The setup process was straightforward and the device is easy to use.

Overall, I would highly recommend the ALongSong Weather Station to anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use weather monitoring device for their home.

This weather station is extremely quick and easy to set up, consisting of nothing more than either connecting to a USB-C power source or fitting three AAA batteries (not included). On powering on, the settings are radio controlled so the time, date and moon phase are set automatically and the outdoor temperature is read from the separate AAA-battery powered outdoor unit.

On testing the outdoor unit, there is a temperature reading discrepancy of 0.5°C when compared with other monitors and placing the outdoor unit indoors beside the indoor unit. However, this doesn't worry me as a domestic user.

Features include a graphical weather indication, barometric pressure (missing on several other weather stations), humidity readings, a clock and alarm clock. For severe weather, alerts can be set such as a warning of frost or excessive heat in order to protect vulnerable plants or cover a car windscreen to protect from frost. On the reverse, the instructions are printed to remind users how to use the weather station's additional features. So many instruction manuals are mis-filed or lost so having the instructions printed on the actual product can be incredibly helpful.

The display is bright and clear and can be hung on a wall or used on a desk via the integrated stand. Yesterday, we had a power cut during a storm and within minutes of the power being restored, the unit reset and was running again with no user intervention.

We've used a few weather stations and this is the best of them all, so far.

Recommended for its easy of use, complete reliability, full range of features and attractive appearance too.
