If you think you might need this, yes, you do. The inkbirdplus co2 monitor saved me from adding supplemental co2 to my garden, when I never needed it in the first place. I was afraid that I wasn't getting enough co2 and after operating this, I found out that I was having an almost toxic build up of co2. I was wondering why I would feel ill when working in there. Now I know. It's a great unit, with a pretty good track record. Is it the MOST accurate unit you can buy? No. Is it reasonably accurate? Yes. If you think you need one, you do. Just remember to keep the back light turned off (which is easy with the press of a button) if you don't want it to disrupt your light cycle. It powers and charges via usb cable but don't expect the battery to last more than a day or so unless you leave it plugged in. Just remember to turn the little light off when you're done taking you readings. Enjoy!

This monitor works perfectly and showed me where I needed to improve with my air quality. This monitor is setting around 45 until I begin smoking in the room. It has really showed me how bad smoking is inside my house. I highly recommend this monitor for anyone needing to know or to watch the air quality inside a room or garden area!! I use this device in my mushroom fruiting chamber. I love the view screen which I can easily see through clear plastic tent material. It acclimates to a consistent reading after a few minutes, so I spot check and typically don’t leave it on for very long, although when I did, the charge lasted all day and into the evening. Tip: sometimes it won’t fully charge, just turn it on, turn it off again, and put it back on the charger. It will charge up. I compared its temperature and humidity readings against my other reliable measuring devices, and I can verify that it reads these values accurately. So far, after using it for a month, I am extremely satisfied and I highly recommend the product.

Simple and straight forward design. It's super easy to calibrate and is easy to see from across the tent. It has a battery but the instructions say it's best to leave it on the charger so it seems to just be of use when taking outside to calibrate.

Unit is accurate and very easy to set up. Calibration is easy. Very easy to read. I recommend leaving this plugged in for extended measurements; the battery won’t last too long unplugged. Battery is nice to test areas where you have no plug available. Temp and humidity seems accurate enough.

I got this unit to double check my TrolMaster Hydro X accuracy as well as it was time to get something better than a $3 model for my veg room. The unit is compact, accurate, and runs off a rechargeable battery so it can easily be moved around for spot checks!

We use this as a proxy for ventilation and air flow in small spaces like doctors treatment rooms or outpatient clinics. I am immunocompromised and must take care of myself. We've tested it at home and driving and you can see how the CO2 level changes with more people or more ventilation. Any CO2 level over 800 is considered the bare minimum of adequate ventilation by environmental engineers according to my reading, but do your own research. I was surprised how little ventilation many places had that I tested, I was breathing a lot of stale air with who knows what bacteria or viruses floating around. Whatever you use it for, it works and you can stuff it in a purse or backpack for travel.
