Our 7-year old twin boys have recently started showing an interest in science so we thought a microscope would help foster their curiosity. Having purchased Kentfaith products in the past, we decided on the Infiniview LCD Microscope and once again Kentfaith delivers. It is incredibly easy to set up and use, even for kids. We had the microscope completely set up within five minutes from the time we removed it from the box and within 10 minutes we were practically experts at using it. The kids quickly ran outside and started collecting grass, leaves and sticks to view. We then located a bag of marbles and the kids were amazed by what they were seeing. I was able find a memory card and we were able to capture our findings and load them onto the computer. The LCD screen and the image captures are clear and of high-quality. We will leave the microscope out on the table with the hopes that our kids will be invited to continue exploring and learning. We are very pleased with our purchase and highly recommend this microscope for families.

Small but reliable and complete. The ease to connect to a monitors make it ideal for teachers. Let the student explore materials they bring to the class room; Big success!!!

We don't even use half the functions of this microscope, but it's perfect for our homeschool. We love it

I received this package in tip top shape, when opening I was amazed how simple it was to get started and use. Microscopes have sure changed since I was in school! I loved the idea of taking photos, adding them to a science report, and letting my kids get creative exploring the back yard. Software was easy to download on my Mac. The LCD screen was nice and large with numerous contrasts and options. Very little could be improved. One wish would be even greater magnification, but for the price and ease, this is a good buy. I can see a couple of good science projects coming up that can earn top awards at the next science fair.

I bought this microscope to examine mineral samples. It is perfect for field work and the battery life is very good. The USB accessibility allows quick charging as well as transfer of images to laptop/computer screens. The maximum resolution of 400x is more than ample for the built in screen. I haven't tried but I imagine that the 400x resolution is designed to be viewed on a computer screen with more pixels. Very lightweight and easy to carry. I am extremely pleased with this purchase

I have found this scope very useful in looking for errors in stamps, double impressions, etc. I have also taken it in the the Philatelic group to which I belong and it attracted the attention of several members. The only drawback I have found is that the platform is somewhat unstable, however when used carefully it has not only met but exceeded my expectations. I find the ability to take photographs a real bonus.

Bought for 8-year-old, and I ended up messing with it for hours. Things look fine on the 2" display, but after loading the images onto a computer I was amazed at the clarity of the images and videos.
I did not try the suggested software for viewing directly on a computer via usb, though.
We were able to view some microbes (paramecium?) in a drop of water. Didn't expect that.
If you buy this, the AA battery box on the bottom of the stand is for the backlight. The microscope itself (and it's main LED lights) is powered by an internal battery that is re-chargeable. This took me a few minutes to figure out.
Things that could have been better:
The instructions were a bit vague. There are clear plastic pieces included that were not mentioned in the instructions, although I think there are meant to hold specimens when using just the eyepiece without the stand.
No slides included.
The lens assembly doesn't extend far enough down to view something at the highest magnification if it is resting on the bottom (where the AA battery powered backlight and slide holder is). I used the transparent lens cover inverted in order to lift things close enough to the lens in order to view things like microbes. Also, I couldn't seem to turn off the backlight, and had to remove the batteries to turn the backlight off.
Lastly, the microscope was packed loosely in it's box, and although somewhat confined by a molded plastic insert, other parts were just flopping around in there.
Well worth the $67 I paid for it, and honestly I would have expected it to cost much more. Despite the few things mentioned, I would definitely recommend it, especially for young people.

This scope is easy to use and does everything you need as long as you don't need to view down to the microscopic level. Then you will need a more powerful microscope. This is a great scope for looking at bugs, leaves, anything that will fit on the stage really.

The functionality of this microscope is incredible, Takes awesome photos and video, digital zoom on the camera works great. The software is cumbersome when trying to zoom and so far I have not found a way to make it work. I am looking for a third party software I can use.
Bottom line is, for the price I do not think you can do better on a stand alone photo scope.
