We purchased this as a thank you gift for my dad and he’s loved it so far!

I upgraded to the Garret 300 and found the transition to be smooth. Pulls a little downward on the wrist but other than that it’s balanced and lightweight. Nice led display with numerical reference for the target. Volume is loud and is not able to be adjusted. Only way to adjust volume is when using the wired headphones that came with the detector. Until you “learn” the tones and numbers being displayed dig everything. You’ll find more trash than treasure, that’s not the detector’s fault. There are several modes for distinguishing types of targets you’re looking for. The unit is easy to operate, turn it in and go ! Great for beginners and experienced users without investing large amounts of money. Batteries come with it and after 18-20 hours the indicator is still reading “full”You won’t be disappointed in this detector. It’s easy to assemble and with moderate practice you’ll be retrieving treasure in no time. The picture is what i retrieved from a beach club in about three hours. Have fun and enjoy !!

I just got my kentfaith metal detector put together, and I'm waiting on the weather to clear up to be able to use it! I'm looking forward to testing out all the features on this metal detector and to get finding a treasure!

I love the clarity of this. I am a newbie and need a bit more practice. But the ease of this unit will definitely help me out.

It was actually easy to assemble by eyeballing it. Usage is difficult. You just have keep using it. And I have yet to understand how it did not react at all to a big, rusty ball peen hammer. Because it was on the surface?? Anyway I used it to precisely locate my dogs invisible fence. I got it to work well enough to do that fairly well. I also found my water meter, which had been buried under about two inches of dirt. BUT, There is a "disc" function, what does it do? Supposedly discriminate. OK, what and how and when? All in all, I think it works pretty well. But there is a serious hands-on learning curve. If you're looking for Rolexes at the beach, I wouldn't recommend it.Updated review: I watched a couple YouTube videos. Very helpful. I learned how to use disc function. Very helpful. It really doesn't discriminate. It eliminates- but you can't pick and choose. It eliminates less valuable metals one by one. VERY USEFUL for me to find buried copper wire (invisible dog fence). In sum, the product worked well for my purpose. I'd add a star if the instructions were not so minimal/confusing. But YouTube videos served as my instructions. You may find a Rolex. I would recommend the product. Assemble it and go to YouTube. Add smiley face here.

It was an easy install. Only time will tell if it was a good purchase.

I received this metal detector in December As a gift and have used it a couple of times. It’s easy to use, easy to transport and so much fun to explore with. Since it’s my first metal detector, I feel this is a great one for beginners.
