72mm Kaleidoscope Filter Special Effects Filter with 3pcs Vacuum Cleaning Cloths Nano B Series
SKU: KF01.2488
This is just one of many K&F filters I have in my kit and, like all their other products, is well made. This is one solid chunk of glass and the surfaces are cleanly cut and free of blemishes. It comes in a protective plastic case and includes 3 cleaning cloths.
Now, this is obviously not a filter you're going to use all the time. It creates a fun kaleidoscope effect that is best reserved for very specific moments, as it's a very strong effect. I like that the filter rotates, so once you have it screwed onto your lens, you can either creates a rotating effect (video) or dial in the exact angle for stills.
Due to the nature of this type of filter, it is a bit chunky and heavy, as it needs to be thick enough to get the crystal facets at properly steep angles. I got the largest size (82mm), as it offers the most versatility since I can always use reducer rings on smaller diameter lenses, but you generally can't go the other way around (small filter on a larger diameter lens). This ensures the widest lens compatibility.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with this filter. It'll be a nice addition to grab a shot here or there for music videos and art pieces. K&F has consistently delivered great quality at an affordable price and this filter continues that streak of success.

This is definitely a gimmick item but sometimes it's fun to pull out a few weird but fun images during a wedding day. I've tried it a couple times and the couples thought the results were neat. While it's not something to use for an entire session it is a fun thing to stretch the creative muscles with.
Updated 4/9/2024 -- I used this filter during the totality of the solar eclipse and it made a really fun image of the sun and I had fun taking photos of everyone enjoying the show.

I purchased this because I felt that this look could not be re-created in post. Super fun for photos every now and then

This filter creates and interesting effect that is good for specific shots. I don't see myself using this a lot but, I would say this is the best kaleidoscope filter I have come across. The lens itself is made of quality materials that I have come to know from all the K&F filters I own. Fits my 82mm G-Master perfectly. Comes in a great protective case. I highly recommend this lens.

This is one of those special effects filters you can add to make ordinary pictures stand out a bit without the need for post-processing software (maintains picture integrity). This screws onto the lens and then you take the pic. Works with the auto-focus on my Nikon D3200 with no issues. Do note that because of the effect, light can get diffused a bit and colors *may* not be as sharp. Still, this is quite fun and another lens I can use to keep photography fun.

I mainly use this filter for concert photography and I am in love. It’s so fun to experiment with and I highly recommend! Here are some photos I’ve taken with it!

The first thing I noticed about the K&F Concept Kaleidoscope Filter is the sheer size and chunkiness of this piece of glass. True to other accessories I have used in the past from K&F, the filter is well made and machined well, so it seamlessly fit on my Nikon Z 24mm-120mm lens.
The filter rotates to change the strength of the kaleidoscope effect. Rotating the front is very easy and smooth. Using the filter did not change the resolution I was seeing in the electronic viewfinder, and it was very easy to compose a photo. Additionally, I was able to use the lens hood with the filter attached to the lens.
I have not had a chance to experiment much with different subjects but I can already see the potential of using this lens for fun portraits of people and pets and interesting macro or landscape photos.
Highly recommended!
