Always a fan of the K&F quality of filters and matte boxes. I shoot with anamorphic lenses, and still get no vignetting at all. The build quality is awesome and reassuring. Amazon broke one of my filters in shipment, and K&F replaced it so quickly. An awesome experience all-around

This filter works flawlessly with my Smallrig mini mattebox and enhances the overall footage from the camera and reduces the amount of work I have to do in post. The filter is very high quality and comes in a very nice travel case that makes it easy to carry with you for on the go shooting. I really appreciate all the effort K&F has put into this filter along with every other filter I've received from them. Personally i like to use this filter when shooting candle lights and porch lights, it gives a great yet subtle effect to the light coming off of the candles and works wonders on neon lights. I will definitely be keeping this in my film bag that I use on set and look forward to buying other filters from K&F to enhance my footage and reduce some work in post.

Black mist 1/4: much more subtle than the brand's screw-in version. It's very soft but noticeable. Also, it doesn't have that warm temperature color shifting that the screw-in ones have. I'm so happy with it that I have it fixed to the camera. It's quite thick and looks very sturdy. I mount it on a smallrig matte box mini.

Starting with the packaging and carrying case, which are exquisite, you can see the quality of the product and the attention to detail. It is fully compatible with any matte box of the size, so there is no need to worry as it fits the most well-known brands such as NEEWER or SMALLRIG without any problem. I have observed that it reduces reflections to a minimum and it has not seemed to change the white balance. I don't think it needs to be said, but obviously it also protects the lens from external agents such as small stones or similar.

In short, a great effect filter with 4 x 5.65" standard for common matte box systems. The 1/4 mist filter acts like a soft focus and creates an appealing look when filming (blooming in highlights / light sources, hazey look). It's good to have one of these in your arsenal of design tools. Thanks to the nano coating, the filter is also easy to clean, dirt and liquids literally roll off and it is resistant to fingerprints, for example. Highly recommended.
