Very sturdy geared head. Is of medal and not cheap plastic. Great for celestial photography. Has quick release for fast reframing of shots.

This does everything you expect it to. Solid. Independent fine adjustments. Compact. Arca compatible. 48 turns per 360 degrees, or 7.5 degrees per turn, this is great for easily keeping track of astronomical objects etc. There is a hint of back-lash, but that's easy to workaround, adjust back a little and go again. The centre of the top plate mount is not above the base axis, which would have been nice, but I solved that and rotated the arca clamp to my preference by adding a QR50 and PU70 bolted together at 90 degrees.

Is it perfect? No. But it's very good indeed, a pleasure to use.

Innovative 3-Way Geard Tripod head, I admit that at first I was a little reluctant about it due to its complexity, size and shape, but which turned out to be an exceptional product, which is very easy to use and very precise, something I needed for composing frames from more unusual angles and from more difficult positions. Great quality!

I had the usual clamp type tripod head that would droop after adjusting with my heavy 150 - 600 mm lens. This head is built like it's intended for an aircraft. Super high quality finish on the parts. Rock solid construction. Micrometer fine adjustments. Highly recommend it.

I’m using this ball head on a monopod. Size is great for the monopod but using it with a heavy lens you’ll have to really tighten the knobs. Better used with smaller lenses.

This is very well made and well worth the money. I bought it to use for videos - on a small light stand for my Panasonic G7 camera. My space is very small - the tripod was taking to much room - this ball head will be perfect - I can use the smaller light stand and still be able to tilt my camera in any direction.

Much better quality than expected. Holds my DSLR sturdy with ease. It's not hard to lock the ball down in place. There is a nylon insert surrounding the ball that allows it to slide and grip. Quick release plate has safety pins in case it slides while trying to insert or remove. I don't feel like I am going to loose a $1200 camera because I bought a cheap item. I want another one!

This Gimbal is built well , maybe little on the heavy side. I think it would be good for entry level photography & would be fine for most shots . The reason I returned it was I didn't care for the play in the horizontal pivot . And when you tighten the lock knob for the horizontal pivot it changes camera position slightly .

This geared head screams high quality in every corner.
The orange quick release rings are unexpectedly spring loaded though, rather the screwed.
Pros: This grant they never get loose, adding security and precision
Cons: the spring are quite strong, requiring some effort and with the risk of pinching your fingers
Overall I’d rate 6 STARS! ;)
