This is really sturdy but it could have been a lot better if the connectors were made of alloy rather than plastic I don't know how long it will last in use, it certainly looks and feels sturdy enough and the action is very smooth With a quality mounting part for the camera itself it is good to use although it is a bit heavy to lug around all day but the carry case has a shoulder strap which helps with that, all in all what you get for the money is good Very good value for money in my opinion and would definitely recommend it to anyone

The tripod is high quality. It leaves nothing to be desired in terms of functionality and usability. The tripod head is fluid-mounted, I want to use the tripod with a spotting scope. If you make sudden movements without weighting it or setting it up, the tripod will naturally be knocked off its hinges. But 1. you don't make sudden movements with the spotting scope mounted and 2. you can attach additional weight to the robust metal hook. I think you should choose a different tripod head for very light setups. The best thing, however, is that the tripod only has a transport length of 50cm when completely disassembled. The center column without the tripod head is the longest part at 50cm. Delivery as described, no damage or similar, very high-quality transport bag that is 66cm long.

decided on this tripod when I was looking for a video tripod for my bridge camera. Since there were no previous reviews, I had to buy a pig in a poke. But since other Cayer tripods had good reviews, I decided to buy it. The decisive factor for me was that the tripod should be robust and extendable. The tripod has now been delivered and corresponds to the item description. My description refers to the first impression after trying it out; I cannot yet provide any long-term experience. The Cayer AF2451 is made of robust metal with only a few plastic parts and, as expected, is not a particularly light tripod. The carrying case supplied also makes a robust impression. I had not really understood how the legs are fixed from the texts. But the system also makes a very stable impression. A small silver-colored metal plate can be pulled out so that each leg can move freely. If you push this part in, it can press itself into one of the three predefined "steps" so that one of the three possible angle positions is fixed. Simple, but robust and effective. (On other tripods, the "locks" sometimes jammed, which is not the case here.) The tripod is still very stable even when fully extended. The tripod can reach a height of approx. 1.90 m from the optical axis of a camera mounted on it. The clip fasteners for the tripod legs are easy to use. There are two small circular spirit levels for adjustment, one on the "spider" of the tripod and one on the video head. This can be finely adjusted using a screw on the side. The resistance for turning the head and tilting it cannot be adjusted, but the pressure of the locking screws can be adjusted, so that the "ease of movement" can be adjusted somewhat. The base plate is secured with a button to prevent it from accidentally slipping out, as shown in the picture. I also have no complaints about the clamping device for the holding plate. The rubber feet can be replaced with spikes, which are included in the delivery. Various Allen keys are also included for tightening the screws. The tripod rod has a hook at the bottom to which a weight can be attached. This bracket can be unscrewed so that the rod can also be attached upside down in order to create small distances from the ground. As shown in the pictures, the leg with the cover can be unscrewed so that you can also make a monopod together with the middle tripod rod. Overall, everything makes a stable and solid impression. I am excited to see how the tripod will perform in use.
