Prism effect filter for photographic lens ɸ 52.
The product arrives well protected inside a rigid plastic box and inside it is completely wrapped in a foam seat; in addition to the filter, in the package we find 3 microfiber cloths for cleaning the lens.
Bought for my Nikon D5200, it fits perfectly both on the standard 18-55 lens and also on the 55-200, it is really very easy to assemble and does not cause the slightest disturbance during use, it is possible to mount the lens hood very quickly, this applies to both the snap-on and bayonet ones.
I mainly use it to take photos in the evening or at night to be able to make the most of the filter effect.
The effect we receive when photographing light sources is as if a prism were illuminated or even more "jokingly" it is like an "astigmatism" effect, which gives a particular tone to the photos.
K9 glass guarantees high light transmittance and equally high color rendering, ensuring a clear and quality image.
Made of sandblasted aerospace aluminum alloy, the matte finish also prevents reflections and the penetration of diffused light, ensuring a really high grip and you also have the possibility of being able to rotate the filter thanks to an integrated bearing and the rotation is fluid and gives enough resistance to the movement that helps us to make a fluid movement in the case of filming rather than photographing.
The part of the filter that screws onto the lens is also equipped with teeth along the entire circumference in order to maximize the grip during assembly/disassembly; on the front part, however, there is a seat to attach the lens cap.
The only flaw: with entry level cameras or with lenses that have a low brightness, if you use it in the evening/night you could have problems with the automatic focus.
In conclusion: excellent product, recommended!

I am. now officially a K&F fanboy as I'm yet to be disappointed by anything from them, this being no exception.
Usual manufacturing standard are maintained, if that's not stating the obvious, I just need to find the occasion to use it properly now.
Test shots of a candle at home are enough to convince me it works but I'm looking forward to having a shoot booked where I can give it a proper outing.
K&F aha aha...

It is a very nice filter to use in video, you have to keep in mind that for the filter to work well the lights must be as round as possible, with square or rectangular lights it does not work as well.

Another great filter from K&F! The material quality is great. The filter is lightweight, and attached easily to my Canon lens. I really liked this starlight glare filter.. it adds a little razzle dazzle, without being as over the top as my starburst filter. I especially like using it with fabric that has sequins.

Of course these aren't filters that will live on your lens or maybe not see as much use as a black mist filter, but when these do come into play, they produce some really nice flaring and bokeh effects - especially when paired with anamorphic lenses with a 1.5 squeeze factor or higher. The effects are best described as creating a dreamy effect or dazzle which is wonderful for product photography or cinematography to make your product really pop. Build quality is nothing short of fantastic and reliable. Simply great.

I got the 49mm one, and it was a perfect thread match.

Well constructed, comes with cleaning cloths too (nice perk, I have a tendency to losing these)

Sure you can achieve the same look in post-production, but when you can get the desired effects from a filter in-camera, why wouldn't you?

I Have ordered several K&F special effects filters in the past and have found that they can add to your creativity if you take the time to learn how to use them.
This Starlight Glare filter will be used in many of my landscape shots. More often than not I have been moving away from adding special effects to my photos when downloading to my computer. With these types of filters, I find it more interesting to get those effects in the field and to be able to tell people honestly, they were not “photoshopped”. As with all the K&F filters I own, I’ve had no problems with attaching them to my lenses and are well made for the price.
As always, it’s a nice touch that they include a couple of cleaning clothes in the box to care for the filter.

I own a lot of K&F filters. They are well made and fit like a glove. This filter is no exception. I like the effect this filter gives, and it is nice to have for evening shots. I highly recommend it!

We film a lot of videos and take tons of photographs for our youtube channel, well travelled life. This star light effect filter in 77mm is perfect for the Canon lenses I typically use when travelling. A perfect use is night time photography as an alternative to black mist filters. It does what the name suggests adds light effects emanating from any bright highlights. Used subtly, it can add interest to anything from urban scenes to Christmas markets. K&F filters are well made and I have a number of them in my kit bag. Highly recommended.
