52mm Circular Polarizer Lens Filter with Filter Cap Cleaning Cloth Optical Glass Ultra Slim Polarizing CPL Filter with 28 Multi-Layer Coatings Nano-Xcel Series

K&F has been a great company my husband and I always go to for camera accessories. We've used this brand for a similar filter in the 85mm size and now that we have a different lens, we opted for the 58mm polarizer filter. It is super thin as they say and it works really well. It helps with shutter motion and when taking portraits because it allows less light into the lens if you're looking for a moodier vibe and reduces reflections. Kind of acts like an ND filter and provides a little more contrast and color.

Like all CPLs, it screws in and then spins to adjust the input. The edge contains nice grooves that make it easy to grip and spin. It has great build quality. Feels very satisfying to spin and stays in place. And, as you can see, it works great at blocking incoming light from screens or reflections off windows. As a documentary filmmaker, I often have to make sure my reflection isn't seen in windows. Filters like this help. As a video producer for a furniture company, CPLs also help remove reflections on the sheen of wood furniture finishes.

I am using the K&F Concept 82mm Circular Polarizer Lens (CPL) to take photos with my 24-70 zoom lens. The polarizer does a fine job getting rid of stray light -- reducing glare and unwanted reflections. It is easy to install and adjust once in place on the lens. As with any polarizer, there is a slight reduction in brightness when using this filter.
I noticed that rotating the polarizer lens to increase or reduce the polarization led to the threaded mount portion of the CPL getting tightly attached to my lens. The CPL was difficult to remove at that point due to the threaded mount being thin and hard to grasp securely.

I like K&F products...most of which are hits. A few misses but that happens.
This one is a hit.
The Series X Nano CPL is made from Aluminum metal, which is to be expected at this price point. Brass will always cost you more, but this is just fine. The filter is pretty thin, yet the metal frame seems robust and well gnarled on the outer rim with smaller gnarling on the top, in case you have to go into ballistic mode on a stuck filter.
I did not see any color casting, and my camera's light meter showed a drop of one aperture of light when full CPL was utilized...not bad at all. Images provided will show the CPL effectively cutting glare on a water surface.
This is the first time I have received a lens cap when ordering a filter, and I like it. It's nice to have a spare, and the cap is just as good as my original lens cap.
This is a nice CPL to have for the coin asked...recommended.

Another win from the folks at K&F! This circular polarizer is excellent and happily has found a spot in my camera bag!
Sure, I have other polarizers from other manufacturers at 1.5 - 3x the price and, at the end of the day, they all do the same thing. It comes down to materials, fitment, and the quality of the elements/film/coatings. For the K&F this ticks all of the boxes and is price competitive for sure.
The polarizer screwed right on to my workhorse Canon EF 27-70 2.8 L lens as well as my EF 16-36 2.8L with zero hang-up, drag, or grind with cheap filters often do. Once mounted, you can rotate the bezel of the filter to get the polarizing aligned for your use.
I have not done an extensive study on this to see if there is any colorcast or defraction however I have not noticed any anomalies while using the filter. And no, it's not a permanent fixture on my lens as more likely than not I am not needing polarizing.
The filter comes with one of the K&F lens cleaners as well as a spare lens cover (K&F branded) which is a nice spare.. also comes with a small lanyard. The filter and lens cover come in a reusable plastic padded storage box for safe keeping.
I have included a couple of photos of the contents of the packaging.

This arrived quickly in the mail after ordering. It came USPS and in a Amazon cushioned envelope. You can see all of its wrappings in pictures above. It came professionally wrapped with very professional Packaging. Everything from top to bottom is high quality the lens is a very good quality and the metal casing to the lens itself is extremely high quality I love the gnarled edges around it so that you can grip the filter itself to thread it onto the lens it cuts out the UV no matter which way you turn the lens so this particular product you don't have to have the lens turnt a certain way in order for it to work it works and 360° of rotation. It came with a lanyard and a microfiber cleaning cloth which was very good quality in itself tough durable and I tested it out it does clean very well it gets off all debris and grease with minimal effort. A lot of cloths just seem to smear grease around or hand oil around but this takes it off makes it look shiny and new with no residue. The lens cap is of great quality it's very thick the clamps are tough and rugged and don't seem to come off with any little bump they actually have to be squeezed pretty good in order for them to come off of the filter itself but it's not so difficult that you have to work at it to get it off functions as it should. This isn't my first product from K & F I've been using their products for years as you can see in the photos above I have some of their lens adapters and I've had their products for other cameras that I have mostly vintage. I've been impressed Through The Years with their products and this doesn't stop it with this one it impressed me I've went through a lot of brands of filters and I tell you they all have something with them that you know they're not perfect but this one seems to be perfect in every way it is more than just a lens cover it has a function that serves a purpose and I plan on leaving it planted on my lenses always. I will definitely go back and buy more for sure. It screwed on to my lens very easily I did do the typical turn it the opposite direction you're supposed to to get it to fit into the threads first and once you hear that initial click and you know it's seated properly then you turn it to the right to tighten it in and it goes right in beautifully the lens hoods that I had fit over it not that you will need it but it never hurts to have it affixed. The lanyard went on easily and it's tough it also has a cinch on it to cinch it up to your wrist as per the picture above that it doesn't slide or fall off or if you're taking a picture and someone runs past you and tries to grab your camera they will not get it easily from you you will be able to hold on to that camera tightly for you tourists out there. There's a time for a strap and there's a time for a lanyard and most of the time I find that the lanyard is more convenient than a strap the strap becomes cumbersome and most of the time you find that it's in the way it's not even that great for letting it just hang on your neck to where the lanyard it's their cameras in your hand all the time and it's there until you're ready to not have it in your hand anymore you don't have to worry about it if I want to just let it hang I can let it hang and it's just fine granted the bigger the camera the more of a pain the lanyard is but for everything that's a medium to small size camera lanyards or the way to go I believe you're getting a lot for your money with this product and this is a company that you can rely on for multiple photography applications both for photography itself and video this lens works great for taking video footage and keeping the glare off not just the glare off but keeping the ultraviolet down so that you're getting true to color and you can see once you've applied it to your camera how it's going to be and I guarantee you you're going to like it I did there's some pictures above of things that I took photos of in the yard immediately after installing it on my lens and you can tell there that it didn't affect the color of any of those items but it did take the glare off of those items and left them true to color very vibrant I didn't know doctoring to the photos those are raw photos and you could see that everything is very detailed. Are there more expensive filters for cameras? Yes there are more expensive filters but I have to say that these fit the bill for most any filter that you're going to every need or use and they are a fraction of the price you will get professional quality if you have professional equipment if you have generic equipment you're going to get the quality that that product is going to produce and not a miracle from a lens filter LOL.
