This 52mm clip on polarizing camera lens was packaged nicely in a nice sleek silver box, and comes in a great plastic protective case. It is very well made and I like that the lens clipped snugly on my iPhone 12 without putting too much pressure on my phone screen. It removes the glare nicely when rotating the lens. Important thing to note: while this lens does diminish glare it is not meant to reduce reflection. This would be a great gift for any level photographer. Definitely worth the price, would recommend!

This filter clip is interesting in that you can unscrew the filter entirely and use any 52mm filter. I think I have a glass solar filter that I can change in this size. The clip is super easy, holds securely, and doesn't seem to put too much pressure on the screen side.

It's also possible to rotate the filter for different polarization. The images I attached are of late afternoon sun on some black shiny weed fabric on the ground, with the polarizer rotated so it maximally excludes reflection. You can see how different they are. The subtle vertical light artifacts are from my own double-paned window, because I took the photo through a window in sun--they're not from the filter. You can see the difference it makes. The rest of the landscape had a slightly warmer cast, but otherwise, was very similar filtered and non-filtered. I'm impressed. This filter works well without excluding too much light, which some polarizers do.

My only concern is a strong rubber smell, which is probably the piece that protects the screen from getting scratched by the clip--I hope it's a durable part. And I wish the case for the filter were more portable for on-the-go use. For the price, though, it's a great neutral density polarized filter for phone photography.

Inside the packaging, I received the filter lens in a plastic container along with a cleaning tissue. I take a lot of photos with my iPhone, and this lens helped boost the colors and reduce sun glare. It's not one of those extreme filters that make things look unnatural; it's very mild but noticeable. You can review the before and after photos I've included in my review. It's also very portable with the included plastic container. I really like this filter and recommend it.

I got this clip-on polarizer for outdoor photos since it reduces glare from the sun and some reflections. Worked fine on my several smartphones in cases. I like that phone clamp is all plastic, so won't cause any damage. This is nice as a base for other attachments as well.

Clips on phone well, though covers up some of the top of the screen where some photo icons tend to be). Polarizer is clear and looks to have some anti-reflection coating. Can rotate freely to get maximum glare reduction. Polarizer threads measure 51.3mm outside diameter.

HMC CPL clip on filter

The filter is a "Circular Polarizer" (CPL) combined with a Multi-coated UV (HMC) filter. There's a very strong built in (non-removable) clip to hold the 52mm diameter filter securely over the lenses of your smartphone camera. 52mm easily covers all the lenses on an iPhone12 mini. The clip may cover some options on the smartphone screen while using.

A CPL filter allows auto-focus to work unlike a straight line (linear) polarizer, although it had trouble refocusing in a couple of cases which was solved by removing then replacing the filter. Polarizers can act as a neutral density filter, eliminate reflections and glare, and increase saturation and contrast.

It works by placing the filter over the lens and rotating the filter until it blocks reflected light. It has the most effect when the sun is at 90° to the camera directions. The UV filter eliminates some scatter and generally increases the sharpness of photos.

This clips on fast and covers the lenses. It's just a bit larger than I'd like for carrying something for my smartphone. The case is even larger than the case for my Cokin filters I still use on my DSLR, but still fits into a daypack no problem.

I prefer a linear polarizer as I'm not too worried about auto-focus as it seems to have a larger effect, but for convenience, this works well enough.

4 stars.

My husband wanted to try out these polarizing filters on his Motorola phone for underwater photos.
He said they worked very easily on his android phone. The lens clipped on well but does press on to the screen so that may cause a little interference when using the lens. The lens can be removed from the bezel clip to be used independently as inside of a pouch. Rotating the lens within the bezel gives different polarizing effects from minimal to extreme and he found it better to rotate the lens while looking at the screen for the best effect.

The photo he took is of small underwater fish. He admittedly said it wasn't the best photo but he was was working with harsh glare from the sun.

Photographer here trying out this filter on an iPhone 15pro. Usually I shoot digital on a Nikon. Occasionally I'd like to leave the camera at home and shoot on my phone (like most people). In those times I can be disappointed by the quality of pics especially at times when the sun is high and photos look flat. The polarizer filter is one of my favorites to cut through haze and reflections also giving the sky a more saturated color. Although the idea of this filter had appeal to me, I ran into a couple issues.

First; having a clip on filter is easy on and off, but in reality this clip doesn't stay in place well due to the protective case on my phone. It has a large area to cover with the 3 lenses on the back of my phone, so any amount being skewed will show the ring of the filter in the photo frame. It doesn't sit flat and the point of convenience of the clip-on negates taking off my phone case. Also the filter is meant to rotate or spin on the frame to achieve the best results depending on the angle of light entering the camera. In this application twisting the ring easily dislodges the clip from its position. Its a trick to hold it all in place on your phone and twist the filter, and then also keep eyes on the image quality to know when you get it on spot.

Second; let's discuss the filter. The polarizing effect is there, but super hard to discern. It maybe is because there isn't an airtight ring around my lens but places where light can get in. Either that or it just isn't very good. I have other filters from K &F Concept that are very good, so I am more apt to suspect the mounting situation is to blame.

In my photos with the mountain top, the shot with the darker sky is a point in the video with the polarizing filter engaged. The second shot is with the filter on but spun until it is "disengaged" or representational of no filter.

So my overall take is that it works ok, but for me it isn't as easy as just popping in the phone and its a little bulky just to get "meh" results. I think it may work better for someone with a smaller phone camera lens and phone case. In my mind I would rather spend a little more for a filter with a smaller profile that stays on the phone better.

As an experienced amateur photographer, I often use circular polarizers and was eager to test the K&F Concept 52mm Clip-on for my iPhone 13 Pro. The lens attachment fits my phone well enough, but the filter is on the small side and wouldn’t be suitable for larger phones with different camera placements. It attached easily to my slim case, and the filter was simple to adjust. Unfortunately, I found the color quality and rendition to be subpar. While I haven’t tested it on water reflections yet, its performance with a basic landscape shot was lackluster, failing to enhance colors or deepen the sky's blue as you’d typically expect with a good CPL. My experience with K&F's DSLR lens filters has been generally positive, but this phone CPL filter just doesn't deliver. I’d advise passing on this one; there are much higher-quality CPL filters for phone photography.
