Not sure how long I’ve head these, close to a year, I think. They are fantastic for my video work. When shooting lower budget business promos or mini documentaries outside, I almost always have one of these ND filters on.It really cuts the low HDR on my lowest priced camera package. I do a lot of videos for Fly Fishing guides and have an ND filter of the quality and variability makes me feel like I have a lot more control.I normally am running Canons from 70D on the low end of my package deals.As far as video quality goes, I can’t notice that the filter was on in post, except that I have a shallow depth of field and my highlights aren’t blown out.

I really wish they added hard stops to these things. I don't understand how this isn't a feature on all filters and not just those that cost $200+

I really like the product. It was fun to capture moving streams of water and protect my Telephoto lens. I only dislike that the canon cap does not securely stay in place. I have bought cheap filters for my other lenses and this is the first time I've had this issue.

This filter allows you to make the camera think it's darker than it really is. I've only played with it a little but I'm liking it so far.

This filter does not have deep enough threads on the outside for my lens cap to clip into, and the outer ring is larger than my cap diameter. It’s a nice variable filter otherwise.

Lots of vignetting even at lowest setting. As you get halfway through the darkening you start getting blotches. At full darkening there is a dark visible X in the picture. I am very curious how this filter go so many positive reviews. I find it unusable. I am returning it and will look for something more expensive that works or simply go for fixed ND filters

Great ND filter BUT will not work with lens cap. Once I put it on my Sigma 24-70, the lens cap that came with it would not work. The filter itself is larger and will have to grab one of those rubber caps. Sort of annoying but great results!

Definitely a nice surprise! I expected an average filter for the price point, I am attaching a copy of one of the first 5 photos I took with it in the Smoky Mountains. The first 4 were just figuring out the shutter speed I wanted. Quite pleased, wife happy - can't ask for anything more. Looking forward to many pictures using this 82mm Variable ND Filter with my Tamron 24-70 lens (or a more wide angle when I can afford one) on my Nikon D-500.
