Quality package. I think it will be fine, heading south to the sunshine and will try it out.

You get color cast, but it's a lot better than Neewer, which came broken

Worked perfectly for the eclipse! See photo! And I got it on time although I ordered late. It didn't fit my lens but I taped it to the barrell and it worked nicely.

Unbelievable product! This thing not only protects the camera lense but can block out the light of the sun!

I will admit I was skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews about vignetting and shadows and different color hazing and weird tints, but I figured for the price it was worth a shot. I really like the filter! Yes, the adjustments are a little tricky, but once you get used to the feel of it and use it for a while, it’s not hard to create beautiful images. I didn’t notice any color difference (no strange purples or blues) and didn’t notice a weird tint. Everything came out rich and natural.I took off 1 star because I noticed that when you shoot into the sun or a light source (which as a nature photographer can be hard to avoid), there is a slight ghosting - almost a reflection of the filter - that appears on your images. In the first picture I uploaded, I had to edit the ghosting out of the flat water. Using some type of shade seems to help, but now that’s one more thing I have to tote with me when I go...hence, minus 1 star.Other than that one issue, this is my go-to filter now for shooting waterfalls or any water based scenery. I love it!

This is a really good variable ND for the price. Yeah, there is a cross pattern when you're using the ND to it's maximum effect, but this is common with ND filters. It's not present at lower settings. If you're using the ND at it's full effect, you may be better off getting a set with multiple filters and stacking them, or buying a 10 stop filter to begin with.I like that the filter has some friction to keep it from changing or being bumped during use. I use this primarily for video to bring my shutter speed down so that I don't get choppy video from shooting at 30-60 fps and using a much higher shutter speed. It's also great for landscapes and waterfalls.

Bought this to photograph the eclipse. Worked well for that. 4/5 due to the lack of stops, and lack of marks/etching to indicate approx ND level. Like I said, worked well, but if you want any idea of what your actual exposure values are you'll need to mark it ahead of time at a minimum.

I found this filter too hard to use effectively, because I couldn’t tell how much ND I was applying. The filter seems less practical than I expected, because the outer ring keeps turning and I wanted to feel a ‘stop’ point. Company was responsive when I contacted them and they suggested I return it, which I did. I have ordered a different ND kit from same company that includes individual ND filters.UPDATE: I ordered and received a different kit from this company and I’m happy with it and their service, so I am changing my rating to 4 stars.
