I love this filter: it feels like it's very good quality while maintaining inexpensivity (is that a word?).I have this to note: I have a 50mm lense with a 58mm thread and use this filter with a step-down ring and it works perfectly. If you are going to get this filter, I would get the largest size seems feasible and use an adapter to fit it on a lense of at least 50mm focal length (otherwise you get the "x" that is prevalent with variable ND filters.)

This filter is working to soften the water on a water fall. I have tried some sun pictures and have had some vignetting occur but as soon as you back off on the density of the filter, it goes away. For the money, it seems to be a great value. Have a beautiful picture of a water fall because of this filter.

Can't use at darker shades because of vignet. Would be so great if these things ever actually worked well. Better off buying them separately and spending the money.

It's nice to have the range but what I don't like is sometimes give brownish or extreme bluish effect on my photo specially when I'm doing long exposure. It's still useful but I try to avoid using it if I can.

This ND filter is intended to initially be used specifically on one of the cameras I will be using to film the solar eclipse in August. An eclipse requires that the filter be at least 300 and this one goes down to 400.

I took some long exposure photos of waterfalls in the middle of the afternoon and got beautiful results. I'm no professional, but to me, there was no noticeable color cast. I love it, and I'm going to order one that will fit my other lens, too.

I ordered three of these variable ND filters for my Canon lenses and have found these filters to be of excellent quality. The filters operate in the same way a polarizing filter does. The outer rim of each filter is knurled for easy grip and adjustment. The outer lens is slightly larger than the inner lens which accomodates the view of wide angle lenses.

Honestly didn't expect much out of this filter, but it works great. Little distortion at certain points, but that is expected from a variable filter

I haven't had a chance to actually use it yet, as I mostly use it for waterfalls. Everything is frozen or trickling now. Playing around with it though, showed that it should be very effective. You can see it's varying darkness as you rotate the ring.
