On wider lenses you get Xing which is typical of variable filters. No hard stops is a bit frustrating as you can turn past the lowest and highest settings.The filter is wider than the barrell of my 16-35 F4 which makes it unable to take the lens hood which is usually no big deal but don't expect to be able to use your filter and lens hood.

I love how cheap this is for the quality. Fits perfectly on my Sony 18-105 f/4. The ring does not always align but it works. There is some vignetting at its highest ND level, but I expect that from such a cheap variable ND.

Great purchase, easy on the wallet and to use. I’m not sure if it’s a drawback or not but you can’t use your lens hood with this filter on your lens. Kinda I guess.

It’s a great ND filter until you get to the last 3 stages of the filter and then it no longer covers the whole lens but just the center so the center is black and the surrounding area has 0 ND filter so it’s over exposed. If you don’t plan on having it that dark it works great at the lower stages but the dark stages are absolutely useless.
