Never normally have any problems with items I purchase off Amazon, but this one disappointed me. The products themselves were alright, and made of a good quality. However, the Petal Hood was the one that caused the most problem, which was annoying since it was the one that I intended using daily. Whenever you zoomed out to 38mm on the standard Kit Lens, it would always show the hood in the corners of the photo, which would obviously ruin the photo because you'd have dark marks in each of the corners of the photo. It also didn't screw on properly, and was never aligned properly, which annoyed me somewhat.A shame really, because it was something I was after for a while.

I only really needed the lens cap, but as the standard lens on my Nikon D5100 wasn't supplied with a lens hood I thought I might as well go for the package. After all, as the lens cap has a cord attached I should never again need more than one of them. The lens cap has no logo but doesn't need one. It's better than the original because for some reason, Nikon don't provide a cord to stop you losing it – which without one you surely will. For some reason I was expecting the lens hoods to clip on, but they actually screw into the filter thread. This means that the tulip hood might not arrive at the exact point you want it to when fully screwed in, but here's a neat trick – attach the rubber hood first and then you screw in the tulip hood and it will hold it still at any position you wish. If you don't wish to leave it screwed in for the entire day, you can simply push it into position within the rubber hood and it will easily remain secure enough whilst taking a photo – just don't walk around with it like with the camera dangling over your shoulder. The rubber hood is also the screw-in type and is probably good enough to be used by itself on most occasions. It folds back to facilitate the changing or adjustment of filters, but I found that I could access them without doing this. It's so simple yet brilliant, so will probably remain on my lens as a permanent fixture. By the way, the lens cap attaches to filters, which in the case of CPL (polarising) filters in particular, can sometimes fall off. If this does happen, nine times out of ten, the filter remains attached to the lens cap – safely captured on its cord.Excellent value and I can't really fault these at all.

Very happy with this set of accessories. Bought it for my Nikon DSLR. All of them fit perfectly! The very useful thing is a little string at the end of lense cover that I attached to the camera itself - so it is not going to be lost quickly. Useful set for the amatour photographer, like myself.

Petel hood is perfect, as is spare lens cap, rubber hood feels like it could fall off, but I only use it with the camera on a tripod and pointing up at the night sky
