49mm ND2-ND400 (9 Stops) Variable ND Filter Neutral Density Adjustable Filter for Canon Nikon DSLR Cameras + Lens Cleaning Cloth
SKU: SKU0690
I bought this thinking it would save me time taking my neutral polariser off one lens and transferring to another. This was a huge mistake. The vari works well but moves too easily making adjustments and keeping the shot settings almost impossible. Autofocus spent ages hunting for the subject and could not lock on, tried manual focus with little improvement but still out of focus pictures. an other wasted purchase IMHO. The none setting on the polariser has a .2 shade to it.

Great way to intro myself to ND filters! The last stop (darkest) doesn’t really work but the others work fine. I’ll take it.

I got this because I wanted to have 1/50 shutter speed and a wide aperture in an outdoor shooting environment - I am video recording. It works well. One thing you should know, you cannot put your kit lens lid on this filter, otherwise you need to remove it.

I wanted to be able to use this filter for video and stills - if fits nicely on my sony FE 55/1.8Quality looks good - there's no hard stops for the min and max so be careful not to go out of range or you can get an X pattern, no problems if you don't though.Great quality filter and comes in it's own hard case too.

It's great for £15 and the quality is decent as well. if you have slightly larger budget I recommend a more expensive one tho.

First variable ND filter purchased (all others I have had have been static) and what a difference it makes! So easy to move around, and not having to carry more than one per lens is a real space-saver in the bag!I've experienced no false colour or the infamous X on any images (although I don't use this all the way closed!)Comparing it to a friends premium ND (I won't mention the brand), I could not see a difference at all in image quality. However, the premium ND was a bit stiffer to move around, so it felt like it would stay exactly where left. The K&F one does feel like it may loosen up over time, although this hasn't happened yet a few months in!

Did not use outside yet. The reference dots from max to min doesn't match but it is not a big deal for me.

These variable ND filters are the best value for their cost. They work amazingly well.
