I bought this to replace a lost filter for a "Bigma" 50-500mm lense not a terribly expensive price of glass to some but it was to me.This filter arrived in good time and was well packed.For this amount of money it's a no brainier to protect the front of a lens with a uv filter better to risk scratching a cheap filter than risk damaging the lens itself.Ok specifics .... I took a trip to my local zoo yesterday in quite tricky conditions ..bright sunlight but deep shadows not great if the subject matter is dark grey to black(Gorilas-Chimps etc) but this filter had no detriment at all,so I am quite happy to give this filter a 5 star review It did all I expected of so can,t be fairer than that.As an aside with filters this size care is needed when fitting to prevent cross threading probably more so than smaller diameter filters just an observation. Use this size plus the more normal 77mm so this aside aplies to both I guess.I have no hesitation recommending this filter and would certainly buy one again should the need arise

Found this filter to be a good fit for the Sigma lens, came well packed with plenty of protection.For the price this is defiantly one to try.

I fitted this to a Sigma 500- 150. As a filter it works ok but I did bump the lens while in its padded case. The filter glass shattered, fortunately there was no damage to the lens itself but the filter mounting ring seems to have been bent meaning that it is impossible to unscrew it from the lens. If I ever do manage to unscrew it I will be replacing with something a bit more substantial.

Just as good as any top brand item. Well worth the money to protect the glass on your lens
