 Tried it out this weekend. Still learning how to use some of the functions. The video on my iPhone using the app was excellent, Researching this after the fact there are options for wide, medium and narrow but only at certain resolutions, 4k at 24fps it's amazing . The price it is good! Mic recording its very good i Love it! it comes with lots of accessories.

 Great action cam setup so far very impressed especially given the price tag. Using it as a main camera for Milsim and Airsoft Games. 1080p 60fps picks up everything perfectly and the battery life is pretty good on for High Bit Rate setting. Tested out during a small group game and the front screen is perfect to have people check recording status so I don't constantly have to look to check to see if I'm recording. Quality has been great even during the extreme lighting changes that you can get in the woods during fall. The menu is quick and responsive and there are tons of options to adjust and tweak to suit your needs.  The SJCAM SJ6 legend is among the best if not the best sports action camera I have reviewed to date. See my full resolution video on youtube for a video sample. This camera is capable of shooting 24 frames at 4K. It has a screen on the front and a touchscreen on the back. The touchscreen on the back makes it very easy to navigate through the functions. Just be careful not to hit it accidentally like I did several times before I became use to it. It came with a ton of accessories. It has a setting that allows you to eliminate the fisheye distortion which is pretty cool, but what is really interesting is, you can adjust the bitrate. Another cool feature is the gyro stabilization which seemed to work pretty good with the Drone footage I shot.  The SJCAM SJ6 is a very nice 4K Action Camera mainly because it has multiple features to improve the video quality. Of course, you can change the resolution which the max is 4K 24 FPS but you can go down to 1080p 60 FPS. I like the Field of View option to remove that Fisheye style. There also a Low Light Mode which is surprisingly good, a bit of grain here and there but not so much. The Gyro Sensor is really good, barely catches any of the shaking movement. I also love that there a Video File Format and a Bitrate feature which I don't normally see with action cameras. So now I can make sure I get the highest possible quality. You can also mess with the sharpness, white balance and even color. I also like that it's a touchscreen and that you can even connect an external microphone to get better audio quality. The video quality is very nice for the price and I really like that it comes with all these great features, really worth it :)

The current action camera market is saturated with GoPro clones with varying degrees of quality and price points. SJCAM was one of the first companies to competing cameras with compelling hardware, features, and reasonable price points. The SJ6 Legend is no different in this regard.PROS- Excellent stills and video quality at this price point. 16MP photos look excellent. 2K and 1080p video are very clear. 4K “interpolated” is an option (more on 4K footage later).- Distortion correction works really well for stills. This adjusts the fish-eye effect and makes your photos look normal while keeping a wide field of view (see photos)- Gyro sensor emulates a very smooth stabilization effect. It’s VERY good.- Intuitive touchscreen controls and menus. This is SJCAM’s first touchscreen action cam. The waterproof housing is touchscreen compatible as well.- Excellent smartphone app for offloading images/video.- Comes with a decent accessory kit.- Front display for video time / picture count. This is missing from most cheaper action cameras.- Compatible with mini-usb microphones for better sound quality.CONS- 4K video is “interpolated.” This means that the image gets compressed to a lower resolution (2880x2160) but plays back at 4K (3840x2160). If you’re looking for native 4K on an SJCAM, try the SJ7 Star. However, 2K and 1080p look great.- Distortion correction doesn’t seem to work for video on the unit I received. I’m currently on V1.4.8. If you hate the fish-eye effect, you’ll need to spend more on a higher-end camera.- The Gyro Sensor achieves an image stabilization effect by cropping your video, which reduces your field of view. It’s not true stabilization, but it does reduce motion jerk.- Uses mini-usb. In all fairness, the GoPro Hero4 uses this port as well.For the price, this is a very good action camera. I’d give it 4.5 stars for the feature set and hardware at this price point. This is a great action camera if you want an affordable 2K and 1080p action camera with software stabilization. However, if you need true 4K or native distortion correction, you’ll need to go higher up on SJCAM’s offerings.(Video Footage to be added shortly)

Great camera with very solid dynamic range, the 1080p 60FPS looks phenomenal and the 4k 24FPS is great for stationary shots and time lapses. The accessories included with this camera are great, and give it so many use cases. I really dig it, and I highly recommend you check this camera out! :)

 I am a fan of SJCam cameras and this one impressed me. My expectations weren't low, but I got more than I expected. I pretty much figured the quality would be good, but it's actually amazing, very crisp clear images along with the ability to connect the SJCam microphone this makes the camera perfect for vlogging and Youtube videos. I highly recommend this camera. Quality aside, the thing that did it for me is the ease of use. It has a power button and settings button right on the side and a responsive touch screen on the back. A long press on the record button changes the record and photo and a short press takes a photo or video. The tripod screw on the bottom makes it perfect for use with a selfie stick without the need for a case or housing. The camera is streamline and feels good to hold and use, the 4K is interpolated, but looks really good.-Nathyn Brendan Masters
